About the job

We are expanding with an additional family therapist position

Are you passionate about working with children, youths and their families?

Can you see yourself working with challenges in the relationship and interaction between the parents – and/or other significant adults – and the child?

It is important that you have a focus on the child's needs and can support the parents in developing and strengthening their parenting skills, so they can create safe and development-supportive environments for the child's well-being and development.

You must be able to engage in long-term, intensive family treatment work, and you will work both at the Family Workshop and in the families' homes.

Om Familieværkstedet The Family Workshop at Ishøjgård is part of the overall preventive effort in Ishøj Municipality, and we work with family treatment and counseling.

We also offer early preventive family interventions, group programs with various themes, and open anonymous counseling for the municipality's families with children aged 0–18 years.

Our tasks also include practical pedagogical support as well as supported and supervised contact.

We have about 120 families involved in shorter or longer programs, and you will experience working alone or in partnerships with the families.

There is also cross-disciplinary work around the families in collaboration with both the family's close network and the professional network around the family. We have a particularly close collaboration with family counselors.

Vores faglige tilgang At the Family Workshop we are 11 family consultants with various professional and theoretical backgrounds.

We work from an eclectic methodological approach, drawing on different theoretical understandings and methods, including the systemic and narrative foundations. Family treatment always takes its starting point in the individual family's needs, resources and challenges, and we incorporate the methods that best support the family's development.

Emphasis is placed on planning and carrying out family treatment with a conscious theoretical and methodological focus.

The child is always at the center of our work, with particular focus on the relationship and interaction between the child and the significant adults. We work resource-oriented with particular emphasis on the importance of relationships.

Vores faglige fællesskab We place high value on our professional community and enjoy spending time together. We use each other for sparring and care that it should be a natural part of our work to be able to talk about the difficult aspects of our work.

As part of the Family Workshop you should also be interested in joining a group with colleagues who support each other, enjoy laughing together, and take responsibility for the community and the shared professional development.
