Family therapist for a team with high professional expertise and a focus on early intervention

Would you like to help strengthen the well-being and development of the youngest children and their families? Then you may be our new family therapist in Team 0-8 years in Halsnæs Municipality.

Team 0-8

In our team there are 6 child advisers and with you we will be 5 family therapists. We meet families with very different needs and challenges, and most of the families we help require a longer-term and more intensive family treatment intervention.

We are therefore looking for a colleague who is deeply committed to supporting the well-being and development of the youngest children, and who wishes to understand what lies behind the child's behavior, and help the parents create conditions that strengthen the child's developmental opportunities. A common thread in our work is that we base our approach on the family's current situation and, as far as possible, tailor the intervention to match the child's and family's needs.

As a family therapist you work with a broad spectrum of tasks, often more complex family treatment processes with families with children aged 0-8 years. You must be able to build trusting relationships, support development and well-being of the child, and at the same time help the family translate goals and intentions into concrete actions in daily life. We have a number of families who have autism and/or ADHD in their lives, so it is advantageous if you have knowledge of and experience with this.

We emphasize an early and preventive approach, but are also available when families find themselves in more burdensome situations and require closer and more extensive support. It can be longer-term family treatment tasks, where changes are targeted over time, and in some cases it may be necessary to be more directive, which you should also feel comfortable with.

As a family therapist in Team 0-8 years you will get

• Weekly meetings with the entire team or your professional group team, where we discuss and implement interventions.
• Great freedom to plan your concrete tasks yourself.
• Diverse tasks. We work based on the Child Act. This includes advice and guidance, psychoeducation, practical pedagogical support, and family therapy. We have both individual programs, family conversations and relevant group programs.
• Good colleagues who have a high professional level, and who value and see the necessity of professional sparring and supervision. We have a culture where we reach out to each other, whether it is for sparring or a good idea.
• Opportunity to become part of a professionally strong group, where we continuously spar about cases and draw on each other’s experiences. We work with a high degree of independence, but never stand alone when a case calls for joint reflection or new perspectives.

We would be excited if you

• Have an educational or other social science basic education with relevant advanced training or further education, preferably a psychotherapeutic education.
• Bring solid experience with family therapy.
• Have experience working on complex tasks where there are autism spectrum disorders or other psychiatric disorders in the family.
• Are patient and persistent and believe that change is possible.
• Are keen to challenge and inspire our practice with your reflections.

At the same time, value a team where we have room for laughter and humor, but approach all tasks wholeheartedly and with commitment.

About the process

Application deadline is 21 October at 12:00. Interviews are expected to be held on Friday 23 October.

Starting as soon as possible or 1 December.

Salary and terms of employment

Salary and terms of employment are determined in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. In addition, qualification and position supplements may be agreed. The expected total salary is in the range of 41,000 DKK – 48,000 DKK per month before pension, depending on experience, competencies, education and the collective agreement.

We would like to note that we obtain a child certificate, an expanded criminal record check and references for all new hires.
