About the job

Family Counselor for the Family House in Lejre

You have something special when you meet children, youths and families.

You see possibilities where others see challenges.

And you know that small changes can make a big difference.

That is how we work in the Family House as well.

The Family House in Lejre Municipality is well underway – and we can feel it in our practice.

In recent years we have strengthened our efforts for children, young people and families and today stand on a solid professional foundation. At the same time we continue to develop – in step with the needs we encounter.

Therefore we are now looking for 2 family counsellors, of whom one will also join our supervision team.

A broad and deep commitment

The Family House is anchored in a multidisciplinary environment with family counsellors, youth counsellors, supervision counsellors, social-pedagogical therapists, psychologists and early detection counsellors.

We work with interventions under the Child Act (§30, §31, §81 and §32), where we support children, young people and families through guidance and conversation courses – individually, in groups and as family programs.

At the same time, the supervision task is an integrated part of our practice. We handle development-supportive and supervised visits (§103, §104 and §105), and you have the opportunity to become part of a professionally strong supervision team.

This means that you should thrive in a varied daily life – and as a supervision counsellor be eager to work about 1 weekend a month, where supervision also takes place.

A practice in development – with a strong foundation

We are not a initiative that needs to be built from scratch. We are well underway.

At the same time we are focused on continuously developing our practice. We work from an eclectic approach, where there is room for different professional perspectives and methods.

We are in full swing implementing FIT (Feedback Informed Treatment) as a central part of our work. We do this to continuously qualify our efforts and ensure that what we do has real impact for the children and their families.

Who are we?

We are a Family House of high quality, plenty of warmth, open-mindedness and high expectations for our own practice.

We work purposefully to create frameworks that fit the children and families in Lejre Municipality.

We meet children and parents openly and curiously – with a clear intention that everyone should feel like an important part of a community.

At the same time we stand on a strong professional foundation and a culture where we

  • Prioritize high professionalism and reflection
  • Have a close and trusting collegial relationship
  • Allow space for self-organization
  • Go the extra lengths required in working with vulnerable children, youths and families

We prioritise time for team meetings, supervision, collegial sparring and competence development.

Your tasks will include

  • To conduct family treatment programs with a focus on well-being and development
  • To work closely with families to create positive everyday changes
  • To observe and analyze dynamics in families and relationships
  • To contribute to ongoing development and qualification of our practice

As part of the supervision team

  • To take part in supervision tasks and support development-promoting and supervised visits

You will become part of a strong professional community, where we work persistently and relationally – and where we prioritise time for reflection, qualification and recovery.

Here you get the opportunity to be part of an initiative that is already well established – and which we continue to develop to make an even bigger difference.

Who are you?

As a person you are an approachable and professionally strong individual who can both integrate into an existing practice and contribute to its ongoing development.

We expect that you

  • Have experience working with vulnerable children, youths and families
  • Have an eye for relationships, micro-regulations and the dynamics that unfold
  • Work in an affirming way and can translate professionalism into practice
  • Thrive in a daily life with both treatment and supervision tasks
  • Can work steadily and create development over time

Please feel free to state in your application whether you are interested in both roles.

Salary and employment

Employment from January 1, 2027. You will be employed according to the applicable collective agreement and remunerated according to qualifications. The position is 37 hours per week.

You will report to the head of the Family House.

We are very happy to answer any questions. You can contact the head of the Family House, Louise Lejbach, at 21140387. Feel free to send a text message, and you will be called back.

We look forward to receiving your application and CV no later than November 23, 2026.

We will hold 1st interviews on November 26, and 2nd interviews on November 27.
