About the job

Full-time nursing position for Forensic Psychiatric Ward C

Dear prospective colleague in Ward C

I have applied for new challenges, and therefore my position is now vacant. I have had the pleasure of being part of Ward C both during my internship in the 6th and 7th semester and subsequently as a permanent nurse.

I can promise you that Ward C is a place characterized by high professional standards, great humor and a strong collegial community. Here there is room for professional development, sparring and good laughter in a daily life where we lift together.

It has therefore not been an easy decision to seek new paths, and I will miss both the ward and my wonderful colleagues. I am, however, sure that you will be happy to become part of the team on C!

Best regards, Natascha

Do you want to work somewhere where the relationship with the patient, strong cross-disciplinary collaboration and high professionalism go hand in hand with security and clear frameworks?

Then you may be our new nurse in The Ward C – a forensic psychiatric ward where the complexity is high, but where meaning, professional development and collaboration fill even more.

With us you will encounter a specialty that often seems challenging from the outside, but which contains a work community characterized by clear frameworks, high professional standards and a strong focus on safety. We work purposefully to create the best conditions for both patients and staff, and we prioritize a thorough introduction, ongoing competence development and a good working environment.

About us

Ward C is a closed and secured subacute forensic psychiatric ward with 15 beds. Our patients may be committed, remanded for treatment, or have a sentence for treatment.

We work among other things with

  • Relationship therapy
  • Cognitive therapy
  • Environment therapy
  • Physical activity
  • Contact person teams
  • Prevention of coercion with focus on de-escalation and a belt-free approach – always without compromising safety
  • Front office function
  • Dual-diagnosis treatment

We offer

  • A workplace where your safety, professionalism and well-being are in focus
  • Permanent position of 37 hours per week or as agreed
  • Great flexibility and influence on your own work schedule
  • An evolving department where dialogue, involvement and integrity are core values
  • Skilled and dedicated colleagues who look after each other
  • Supervision both locally and across departments
  • Individual introduction and mentor program
  • Work every 3rd weekend
  • Opportunities for 8-, 10 and 12-hour shifts
  • Good possibilities for professional and personal development

What we expect from you?

We are not looking for the perfect candidate – we are looking for the right person.

You are a trained nurse and you want to make a difference for people with complex psychiatric problems.

Additionally we hope that you

  • Want to work closely with patients and relatives
  • Contribute positively to a good working environment
  • Can see yourself in our approach to professionalism, safety and collaboration
  • Believe that relationships, development and clear frameworks create the best results
  • Are curious to develop your competences and take an active part in the ward's professional development

Experience from psychiatry is an advantage, but not a requirement.
