Favrskov Municipality is looking for a relief caregiver for 7-year-old twins

Favrskov Kommune is seeking a dedicated and warm-hearted person who would like to spend time with one of two boys aged 7, who, among other things, have challenges as a result of a genetic defect.

As a respite carer you will be an important part of a family. You will, as a respite carer, only be with one of the boys at a time. Your role will, among other things, be to create a positive space for respite for the family.

Both boys are fond of nature and love to play outside. You should therefore be able to see yourself being outdoors for parts of the year in all seasons.

As a respite carer you must be willing to work with children with special needs. It is an advantage if you have experience/knowledge of working with children with special needs so that the boys can be offered a everyday life with structure and content; this is however not a requirement for employment. It is more important here that you are a good match and that a good relationship with the boys can be created. You will before you start receive a good introduction to the task from the family, so you feel secure in the assignment.

You will join a team of respite carers and will therefore have the opportunity to influence the scheduling of hours yourself. The concrete working hours are planned in dialogue with the family.

From you we expect;

• That you want to work with children with a disability.
• You must be at least 18 years old and have experience and/or a desire to work with children and have a wish to become a meaningful adult for a child and the family.
• That you can see yourself in the role for at least 1 year.
• You must be prepared that your workplace as a starting point is in the family's home/garden. You will be employed by Favrskov Municipality, which handles the contractual aspects of the employment.

In connection with the employment, a child and criminal record check (børne- og straffeattest) will be obtained. The employment is desired as soon as possible. Your application for the job as a respite carer should be sent directly to the family. If your qualifications are relevant, the family will invite you to an interview. The job advertisement will be removed when the family has found the right respite carer.

Favrskov Municipality can only receive applications sent electronically. It is a condition for employment that the person we wish to hire has not been convicted of offenses that would render them unsuitable to hold the position. A criminal record check will therefore be obtained for the candidate who is offered employment.
