About the job

Do you have DevOps experience and want to become part of a team responsible for monitoring and operations, automation, and further development of our technical platforms within electronic retrieval – while also contributing to an important part of Denmark's security? Then you are the one we are looking for!

You will face challenges and have room to develop

You will continuously work on optimizing our platforms and have a strong influence on how we solve the tasks. Overall, you will have the opportunity to support and further develop our infrastructure, automate operational tasks, and contribute to monitoring and fault-finding in complex technical systems.

We offer a learning-rich and interdisciplinary environment with close collaboration with colleagues across several teams and gaining insight into SIGINT systems that are specially developed for our field – including solutions within telecommunications and satellite technology.

There is a steep learning curve at the start, where we will of course provide solid onboarding and a team that backs you up along the way. Our system landscape includes a number of solutions developed specifically for our industry, and it takes time to get up to speed. Therefore we place great emphasis on your desire and ability to learn new – both technically and professionally.

The job location for the position is in Northern Jutland.

You and your background are important

You have a relevant IT educational background – for example, a data technician, data scientist, engineer with IT experience, or have gained DevOps experience from previous positions.

The most important for us is your willingness to immerse yourself in our field-specific systems and contribute to our continued ability to deliver stable and secure solutions. We therefore expect you to be curious and have a natural desire to learn new systems and technologies and that you can work in a structured and independent manner, while also being a good team player.

It would be a clear advantage if you also have a basic understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, Python, Prometheus, Grafana. If you furthermore have experience or interest in telecommunications or satellite technology, this will also be weighted – but not a requirement.

Your new workplace

The Danish Defence Intelligence Service (FE) is Denmark's foreign intelligence service and works – in secret and openly – to protect Denmark and Danish interests in a changing world.

We are not alone in protecting Denmark, but we are the only authority that has been mandated to use special means to uncover what other states and foreign actors are trying to keep secret. It makes sense for us to contribute to peace, safety and security for Danes, both in the analog and in the digital world, and we do this by uncovering, assessing, advising on, and countering both current threats and threats in development.

We value the strength of our diversity with deep specializations and specialists and we are a very special and operation-oriented knowledge organization with many different tasks, but common to all of them is the knowledge base that our intelligence work creates.

As an employee at FE you are subject to some special terms. It is a requirement that you can obtain a security clearance and maintain the security clearance throughout your employment. As in the rest of the defense, you have a duty to short-term deployments abroad.

Your salary package depends on your qualifications

Salary and employment terms are in accordance with the collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the relevant trade union, depending on your educational background. In addition, you have the opportunity to negotiate a supplementary pay based on qualifications. The average workweek is 37 hours including a paid lunch break. The position includes a pension scheme, paid by FE.

How to apply for the position

You must submit your application and CV via the job advertisement, no later than November 8, 2026.

We aim to hire from February 1, 2026. We encourage all interested regardless of personal background to apply for the position.

You are welcome to contact the local HR partner at [email protected] if you have questions about the position or want more information.

You can also read more at www.fe-ddis.dk, where you can find our “INSIGHT” and gain a more detailed insight into FE's tasks, FE as a workplace and further information on employment questions.

We look forward to reading your application!
