About the job

Do you have experience with and a desire to be in the financial engine room and have an overview of a large organization's total finances, then we look forward to receiving an application from you!

CIBU is seeking, as of 1 January 2026, a full-time financial consultant.

Do you want challenging and varied financial tasks in CIBU? Do you have a flair for finance, data and analyses? Are you a structured and service-minded person who dares to work independently with the tasks, then you are the one we are looking for. If you possess these qualifications, and you could imagine a daily life characterized by collaboration with good and skilled colleagues as well as a workplace with an informal tone, then read on.

Who are we

CIBU is a department that delivers initiatives to the specialized child and youth area. CIBU is part of Family and Prevention in the Children and Youth Administration in Odense Municipality.

CIBU currently consists of two family houses, a municipal 24-hour institution and an operational lead function for the regional Children’s House South and Phoenix South. In spring 2027 we will open yet another 24-hour institution and a new family house. In addition, there is a secretariat, which is located at Ejby Kirkevej 15 in Odense SØ. In total, we are around 230 employees.

As an economic consultant you will be part of the secretariat reporting to the financial-administrative leader in CIBU. You will have two primary tasks:

  • Budget planning and budget follow-up for our new unit at Mindelundsvej in Odense South, which will house a 24-hour service for children/youth and for families as well as a family house that offers preventive interventions.
  • A coordinating and communicative role with regard to CIBU’s overall finances, including preparation of CIBU’s overall budget and budget follow-up, management information and financial analyses.

What you will be part of

We at CIBU are focused on ensuring that vulnerable children and youth in Odense Municipality receive the right support, and that through close cooperation with other relevant partners we together can make a decisive difference. This means that we have high ambitions regarding the quality and development of our interventions for vulnerable children and youths. In economic terms, this means that we must be forward-looking and ensure that we use our resources in the best possible way.

The secretariat’s task is to support those who will make a difference for vulnerable children, youths and families and contribute to a larger whole. We can offer you a job with lots of challenge and meaning, where you get to support and shape a very important area in the Children and Youth Administration, which in the coming time will face expansion and thus increased financial attention.

We need you

We need a skilled financial consultant who has experience and a desire to work with finance at a high level of detail, particularly with regard to financial management, controlling, tariff calculation, tasks related to monthly, quarterly and annual closing as well as various development tasks. The level of detail is at both the bookkeeping level and the annual closing for the entire CIBU.

The right person for the job has strong financial insight and is also good at communicating this. Together with the current financial staff you will ensure the right overview and help connect the right threads, where you will have a coordinating role in the team.

We want to continue developing our budget follow-ups and our management information. You will therefore, together with the financial-administrative Secretariat Manager and the finance team, be responsible for further developing this and for pointing out new opportunities that can provide an even better overview and insight into CIBU.

About us

The finance team currently consists of 3 employees, each responsible for their own area. You will become the 4th employee in the team.

A hallmark of the team is that everyone has a high degree of integrity in delivering quality in the task solution, but also a completely fundamental attitude to do their best to support managers and staff in the different units that make up CIBU.

We work from psychological safety, recognition and respect. We are engaged and take responsibility, and our task is to be curious and accessible.

The finance team has extensive contact with other parts of the organization, and through this you will have the opportunity to apply your good collaboration skills.

As a financial consultant in CIBU you will have the following tasks

Own operations area

  • budget planning and monthly budget follow-up
  • coordination with administrative staff at our units
  • prepare tariff calculations for the day and 24-hour areas
  • Registration of contracts and data control
  • Consultant on the finances for managers and other partners

Across CIBU

  • responsible for budget planning and related calculations
  • responsible for compiling the monthly budget follow-up
  • ensure the overall overview of the finances
  • prepare financial analyses
  • further develop and support current management oversight and information
  • further develop and support current financial management and follow-up
  • solve ad hoc tasks
  • answer financial questions from the administration
  • prepare briefs and analyses
  • support the secretariat and the financial-administrative leader in CIBU with ad hoc tasks

Therefore it is important that you

  • work independently and take responsibility
  • work systematically and have an overview with an eye for detail
  • can see “behind the numbers” and are interested in the reality behind them
  • can take the lead and be at the forefront, but at the same time be a team player
  • are good at spreadsheets and have solid experience with financial systems and other systems - possibly ØS insight, BOB, SAS, SBSYS and SD-Løn
  • are good at both delving into “pulling the numbers apart” and bringing them back together
  • are able to express yourself in good and understandable language in both writing and speech, so the main points come out clearly
  • are interested in translating your knowledge into management information
  • are willing to contribute to maintaining a good working environment and want to join a good and committed work community

But we can promise you

  • an exciting job in a dynamic department with a good working environment and good colleagues
  • that you will have challenging tasks and influence on task solution
  • a daily life characterized by busyness, but with room for both personal and professional development

If you possess the necessary qualifications and would like a daily life characterized by collaboration with good and skilled colleagues, we would be glad to hear from you.

Who are you

We imagine that you have a degree with a focus on economics, efficiency and analysis – and it would be an advantage if you have gained part of your experience from the public sector. It would be beneficial if you have knowledge of the social children and youth area, but this is not a requirement. The most important thing besides your professional background is that you are open, good at talking to new people and asking questions, proactive, thorough and good at following up tasks to completion. Furthermore, it is important that you have strong communication skills – both written and spoken.

Salary and terms of employment

Salary and terms of employment according to the applicable collective agreement between KL and the negotiating organization as a consultant (with the possibility of employment as a senior consultant based on an individual assessment). The position is paid according to the applicable collective agreement. The expected salary level will be stated before any interview and depends on experience and qualifications

The position is permanent and 37 hours per week.

The main workplace will be at the address: Ejby Kirkevej 15, 5220 Odense SØ. Since there will be meetings in other parts of the city, we expect that you will have the possibility to use your own means of transport (car or bike).
