About the job

Would you like to help ensure that FOA's members receive the right help and support when they suffer a work-related injury? Do you have experience with workers' compensation cases, case handling and contact with authorities, and are you motivated to make a tangible difference for people who find themselves in a difficult situation?

Then you may be our new work injury consultant with start date January 1, 2027 .

About the job

As a work injury consultant at FOA, you will be an important support for our members who have sustained a work-related injury. You will be responsible for your own cases and accompany the member through the entire case process.

Your main tasks will be to

  • guide members about their rights and options in work injury cases from start to finish
  • handle work injury cases and manage the dialogue with relevant authorities
  • ensure a safe, professional and professionally qualified case handling for the individual member
  • communicate with members primarily via telephone and digital platforms.

We imagine that you

  • are educated as a social worker or lawyer or have another relevant background, preferably with experience in the work injury area
  • have experience with case handling and can work independently with your own cases
  • are good at conveying complex rules in an understandable and personable way, both verbally and in writing
  • meet the members with empathy and patience and can build trust, even when the member is in a difficult situation
  • thrive with telephone member contact and digital case handling
  • preferably have knowledge of handling liability and/or violence cases. This is an advantage, but not a requirement.
  • are motivated to join a team with a high professional level, where we also enjoy socializing well in the team

We offer

  • a meaningful job where your expertise makes a concrete difference for FOA's members
  • a professionally strong and engaged environment where sparring with colleagues is part of everyday life
  • good opportunities for professional and personal development
  • flexible working arrangements and the possibility of remote work
  • a workplace focused on well-being, good camaraderie and room for diversity.

About the Work Injury Section

You will become part of FOA Collective Agreement, which consists of 95 employees with specialized knowledge in employment and labor law as well as work injuries.

We support FOA's 30 local unions with specialized advice and case handling. In the work injury area, we also handle direct processing of work injury cases for members on behalf of a number of local unions.

The Work Injury Section consists of two teams

  • FOA Injury Team: 30 work injury consultants, students and administrative staff.
  • Work Injury Team: 7 lawyers, 1 consultant and 3 administrative staff.

You will thus be part of a specialized work injury environment with opportunities for close professional sparring across different areas of expertise.

Salary and employment terms

Salary and employment terms are agreed in accordance with the applicable internal collective agreement with the possibility of negotiating individual supplements based on qualifications. In addition, there is an employer-paid pension scheme of 15%, a holiday allowance of 3% and a discretionary allowance of 4%. We accrue seven weeks of vacation after one year of service, have a massage/physiotherapy scheme, a gym/fitness area and various staff associations.

The workplace is Staunings Plads 1-3, Copenhagen V. We work flexibly, and there is a possibility for remote work.

Application deadline and interview process

We are looking for a new colleague with a start date of January 1, 2027.

Application deadline: Submit your application and CV no later than Monday, November 9, 2026. You apply via FOA's digital recruitment system.

We expect to conduct interviews and possible tests in weeks 46 and 47.
