Foreman for construction works and road maintenance

Do you have experience with civil engineering and contracting tasks, and can you plan the work and coordinate efforts on site? We are seeking a foreman with professional experience who can make the cooperation function and also take part himself when the task requires it.

Your tasks

Your primary role is to plan and coordinate the daily effort in close collaboration with the project manager. You ensure that the workers know what needs to be done, and that crew and equipment are ready for the task. You monitor progress, quality and safety and also take part in the practical work when needed.

You will be assigned to our road maintenance contract with the Danish Road Directorate and become part of the work primarily carried out in medians on motorways and dual carriageways – on both paved areas and areas with grass, gravel and planting.

The tasks mainly include civil works, but also green maintenance and upkeep.

Among other

• Drainage work, including cleaning out and replacement of manholes
• Paving tasks
• Cleaning, planting and lawn mowing
• Work with marking equipment

You have the coordinating responsibility for the performing employees on the assignment. Personnel and managerial responsibility lies with the project manager.

You are attached to the head office in Fredericia, but will often be out with the workers on the assignments. It can range from East Jutland up to the border and also on Funen.

We would like you to

• Have documented practical experience with civil engineering and construction tasks – preferably with planning, coordination and supervision
• Can maintain an overview and prioritize tasks, workforce and equipment
• Work well with both employees and the project manager and are able to motivate and give clear instructions
• Thrive on coordinating the work while also taking on tasks yourself
• Have a BE driving license

It is an advantage if you have the course "The Road as a Workplace".
