The Vejen Municipality is looking for an employee to manage the green operations of facilities and green spaces.

Vej, Park & Genbrug seeks an employee with flair for gardening work and technical know-how to undertake the task of the green operations of institutions, and the municipality's many attractive green areas. Here you will be part of a strong team, where the working environment is given high priority.

The Job

Your primary tasks will be within green areas, as well as the operation of institutions in Vejen Municipality, such as bush clearing, hedge trimming, lawn mowing, pruning and felling tasks, as well as small construction tasks.

Qualifications and competencies

The position is intended to be filled by a cooperative and energetic woman or man with an interest in the area. The task solving entails a high degree of independence, collaboration, as well as feedback from colleagues and managers in the field.

It is an advantage if you

• have a flair for using common gardening machines and tools
• can work according to quality descriptions, maps, routes and tasks etc. on iPads
• have experience with a chainsaw or a chainsaw certificate
• have a sense for quality and are responsible
• are keen on physical outdoor work
• are flexible and have good cooperation skills
• have a cheerful disposition and good humor.

A driving license for car is required. BE license is an advantage.

We will obtain a child-clearance certificate at employment.

Who are we?

Vej, Park & Genbrug is an operations unit under Teknik & Miljø, employing 75 staff. The core tasks are operation and maintenance of the municipality's roads, green areas, and operation of the municipality's recycling centers. In addition, Vej & Park is responsible for the operation of sports facilities, outdoor areas at the municipality's institutions, and maintenance of the municipality's streams and natural areas.

Salary - and employment terms

The working time is 37 hours per week. This is a full-year employment with participation in winter readiness.

Salary and employment terms are set in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and according to the Ny Løn principles. Vejen Municipality's material yard is located at Stenbro Allé 6 in Brørup.
