Photography instructors sought for North Zealand's Evening School

Are you passionate about photography – and would you like to share your knowledge and enthusiasm with others?

Nordsjællands Aftenskole is seeking instructors in various areas of photography for courses and workshops in the rest of 2026 and the first half of 2027 .

We would like to expand our offerings in photography and are therefore looking for both experienced instructors and skilled photographers who want to try teaching.

It could include, among other things

• Basic photography and how to operate a camera
• Composition, light and image construction
• Portrait photography
• Nature and landscape photography
• Street and architectural photography
• Macro and close-up photography
• Evening and night photography
• Mobile photography
• Image editing and digital post-processing, e.g. Lightroom or Photoshop
• Black-and-white photography
• Creative and artistic photography
• Photo trips and practical workshops

If you have a good course idea that isn’t on the list, we would also love to hear about it.

Who are you?

You have solid knowledge of the photography area you wish to teach, and you want to convey it to others.

A specific educational background is not a requirement. You could be a professional photographer, an experienced amateur photographer, a visual artist, or have developed particular professional knowledge within a photographic field.

Teaching experience is a plus, but not a prerequisite. The most important thing is that you can present your material in an engaging and understandable way and are willing to work with participants with different starting points.

The courses

We are open to many different formats. It can be a regular course over several weeks, a shorter intensive program, a weekend workshop, a single theme day, or perhaps a combination of teaching and practical photography on location.

Teaching can take place during the day, in the evening or on weekends by agreement.

Nordsjællands Aftenskole has activities in Rudersdal, Hørsholm and Furesø municipalities , and the specific teaching location is arranged in connection with each course.

We help with course setup, administration and marketing, while you as a teacher have a good opportunity to shape the course’s academic content.

Salary and terms of employment

The teaching takes place as public adult education, and the employment follows the applicable rules for teachers under the Public Education Act.

The current salary as of 1 August 2026 is 330.74 DKK per teaching session of 45 minutes plus 12.5% holiday pay .

Preparation is included in the salary

The salary covers both the actual teaching and the usual time spent on preparing for and following up the teaching. Therefore, there is generally no separate payment for ordinary preparation.

As a teacher, you are expected to, among other things, plan your teaching program, prepare materials and ensure the necessary follow-up with the class.

The employment is normally time-limited and linked to the specific course or teaching program. Salary is paid monthly in arrears, and ATP is calculated according to applicable rules.
