About the job

It would be an advantage if you are also a reading mentor or have a major in English or cultural subjects.

One of our Danish teachers and reading mentors has, after many years at the school, sought new and different tasks. Therefore this position is vacant and ready for you.

Would you like to be part of a school where strong relationships, an acknowledged view of children, and a committed sense of community are the foundation of our practice? The position can be full-time or part-time. Relationships and community at the center

At our school, the relationship between child and adult is decisive. We meet children with curiosity, clarity, and respect and see children as active participants in their own school life. We believe that children can succeed when they are met academically and personally, and therefore we would like you to be good at thinking outside the box. We work purposefully to create opportunities for participation for all children and see the community as a prerequisite for well-being and learning. We can offer:

  • You will become part of a year-group team with teachers and pedagogues, where we plan, develop and lift the tasks together. We prioritise a working environment with high professionalism, trust and room for sparring.
  • At Fuglsanggård School, we work in year-group teams, and both the timetable and the placement of subjects and the class groups are flexible. The teams consist of 5-7 teachers and 2-3 pedagogues, who as far as possible cover all hours of the year group together. Consideration is given to academic and personal competencies when forming teams.
  • At Fuglsanggård School we are about 750 pupils and 65 teachers and 30 pedagogues.
  • As a new employee you will follow a mentor program, with mentoring in teaching equivalent to 1 lesson; if you are newly graduated you receive mentoring for 2 lessons.
  • In Lyngby-Taarbæk municipality there is an agreement on teachers' working hours, which means that a teacher may teach a maximum of 26 lessons per week on average and that the teacher has presence time at the school of 32 lessons per week on average.

If you would like to become one of our new colleagues, please send an application via Signatur so that we have it no later than Monday, 19 October 2026 at 23:00.

You are welcome to contact us at the school's phone number (45 28 40 90), where you will be referred to the principal Mette Lund Thomsen.

We will hold interviews on Thursday, 22 October 2026

The position is intended to be filled by 1 November 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. Salary according to the applicable collective agreement.
