Head of Finance and Supplier Management for Regional IT

Do you have an financial profile and a strategic mindset? And would you lead the finance and supplier management in Regional IT?

We are seeking an experienced leader with strong competencies in finance and supplier management as well as strategic development. You will be responsible for developing a function that supports the entire Regional IT. The Finance and Supplier Management function consists of 22 engaged colleagues – 6 employees who drive BI and financial management at both strategic and operational levels, and 16 employees who, among other things, conduct IT procurement through SKI, EU procurement of IT contracts, licenses and facility management.

Your role and responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for the overall financial management for the entire IT area with a total annual budget of just under 1 billion DKK. At the same time, we are constantly developing our performance and results management through BI. The role requires solid experience with both leadership and financial management, as we have a complex IT landscape with many projects, strategic development areas with financing needs as well as prioritization needs in relation to e.g. our Digitalisation Strategy .

In addition, your responsibility will be to ensure the overall governance of licenses, contracts and procurements. That is supplier management, which requires some insight and understanding of the legal aspects in the area. Here there will be a chief consultant who participates in the professional responsibility and can spar with the employees and the organization. Facility management is also part of the function area, where the task is to ensure well-functioning and up-to-date premises, operation of these as well as good workplaces for our employees.

About you

You are a motivated leader with experience in working with technically skilled employees and with finance and supplier management from a large, complex organization.

In addition, you are good at reaching out and collaborating within the organization in terms of sparring, advising or following up. You think strategically and long-term and at the same time have an eye for how strategies are translated into concrete actions and results. You have insight into IT contracts, EU procurements, licenses and supplier management.

• have a financial education such as cand.oecon/polit., cand.scient.pol. or equivalent master’s degree
• are able to create good relationships and can collaborate at all levels of the organization
• have good communication skills and can gain buy-in
• are responsible and can prioritize as well as follow up on activities and agreements
• take initiative and make decisions based on expertise and insights
• have strong numerical understanding, are analytical and work systematically, holistically and solution-oriented
• can set a direction and clear frameworks
• are an experienced people leader.

You are action-oriented, proactive and persistent and have a natural focus on delivering results. You maintain overview and are flexible, even when everyday life is changing, and tasks range from operations to strategic and analytical issues.

Your base will be in the Regional House in Vejle or our site in Odense. You will have employees at several locations (Vejle, Odense and Kolding) and should expect travel between sites and regular presence at these locations.

Salary and terms

The position is expected to be filled by 1 January 2027.

The Region is obliged to inform you of the starting salary for the position you apply for. You will be informed of base salary, centrally set allowances and pension. In addition to the starting salary, the salary may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.

You will be employed under the following collective agreement: Chefs – collective agreement 22.02.01 applicable to the employment of function managers and department heads.
