Head of the Electrical Function at OUH

Do you want to lead a strong electrical engineering team and ensure stable and safe operation of the technical installations at one of Denmark's largest hospitals?

OUH is seeking an engaged and technically strong function manager for the Electrical function, who can combine personnel management, technical insight and operational overview. You will be responsible for a function with approximately 20 electricians, who contribute daily to ensuring a stable, safe and well-functioning technical infrastructure at the hospital.

It is a central role where the quality of our work has a direct impact on the hospital's operations and the environments in which patients, relatives and staff move.

About the job As the head of the Electrical function you will have overall responsibility for daily leadership, coordination and development of the function's employees and tasks. You must ensure that operations and maintenance tasks are solved efficiently, safely and with high professional quality.

You will become an important part of OUH's technical organization and contribute to good collaboration across disciplines and functions. You must be able to create coherence between daily operations, long-term maintenance planning and the hospital's need for stable technical installations.

Your primary areas of responsibility You will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the hospital's fixed electrical installations and associated systems, including:

• Electrical installations and switchgear – operation, maintenance and safe function of the hospital's electrical installations and panel systems.
• Antenna, intercom and call systems – ensuring stable operation and maintenance of systems that support the hospital's daily functions.
• Lighting and light control – operation and maintenance of lighting systems and associated controls.
• Low-voltage generator systems – maintenance and operational safety of generator systems.
• UPS systems – ensuring operation and maintenance of systems for backup power supply.
• Emergency and panic lighting – ensuring functionality, inspection and maintenance.
• Electrical on-call responsibility – coordination and ensuring the necessary electrical emergency response function.
• QMS and professional responsibility – handling the role as professionally responsible in accordance with applicable rules and requirements for the quality management system.
• Pneumatic tube system - ensuring stable operation and maintenance of the system.

In addition, you must ensure a structured approach to planning, prioritizing and following up on operations- and maintenance tasks and contribute to ongoing improvements of workflows and technical solutions.

Your leadership role As the leader of around 20 electricians, your primary task is to create the framework for the employees to succeed in their tasks and deliver a stable and professional service to the hospital's organization.

You should, among other things

• Carry out daily people management and support employees' professional and personal development.
• Create clear goals, clear priorities and a common direction for the Electrical function.
• Ensure an appropriate distribution and coordination of tasks and resources.
• Support a good working environment characterized by collaboration, accountability and professional pride.
• Follow up on quality, progress and compliance with applicable safety and regulatory requirements.
• Develop collaboration with other technical functions, internal partners and relevant external suppliers.
• Contribute to a long-term and systematic approach to operation, maintenance and development of the hospital's electrical installations.
• Participate in OUH's emergency duty, in line with other technical managers in the department.

You must be able to maintain an overview in a daily life where critical operating tasks, planned maintenance and emergency needs must be balanced, without compromising safety and quality.

We are looking for someone who We imagine you have a relevant electrical engineering education and solid experience with operation and maintenance of electrical installations and technical systems.

In addition, we place emphasis on the following

• Have experience with leadership, personnel responsibility or coordination of technical staff – or be ready to take the next step in your leadership career.
• Have a strong electrical engineering professionality and understanding of operation of complex technical installations.
• Have knowledge of applicable rules, standards and requirements within electrical safety and quality management.
• Can work in a structured way with planning, prioritization and follow-up.
• Communicate clearly and build trust and engagement among employees and collaborators.
• Are solution-oriented and can make decisions, even when the situation requires rapid action.
• Have an eye for both daily operations and the long-term development of the function's tasks and competences.

It would be an advantage if you have experience with emergency power systems, UPS systems, generator systems and other technical installations where high operational stability is crucial. It would also clearly be an advantage if you have experience from employment in a politically led organization.

Salary & employment terms: Compensation is based on the Ny Løn principles and depends on a negotiation between the bargaining representative organization and BDS. Other employment terms are in accordance with OUH's policies and guidelines as well as the applicant's professional organizational background.

The region is obliged to inform you of the starting salary for the position based on your educational background. You will be informed of base salary, centrally set allowances and pension in the link below via Collective Agreement 32.23.1 "Håndværkere, montører, elektronikteknikere m.fl.". In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.

Starting salary for positions in Region of Southern Denmark

In Region Southern Denmark, a probation period of 3 months is used.
