As a physiotherapist at the upcoming health and care placements in Nyborg you will play an important role in citizens' rehabilitation journeys – and at the same time have the opportunity to help shape a new regional offering in Borgernær Sundhed at Odense University Hospital.

About the health and care placements

From 1 January 2027, Borgernær Sundhed at Odense University Hospital will take over responsibility for the regional health and care placements in Nyborg.

The placements are targeted at citizens in need of health professional interventions, treatment, care and rehabilitation for a period. The citizens come primarily from a hospital department, and the goal for most is that they can return to their own home.

In Nyborg a service with 20 placements is established, where occupational and physiotherapists, nurses and social and healthcare assistants work closely together. Our shared goal is to help the citizen return as best as possible to their own life with dignity, efficient pathways and high professionalism.

We believe rehabilitation succeeds best when the citizen is an active partner, and when the professional disciplines are brought into play across.

Your role as a physiotherapist

You will become a central part of the multidisciplinary team around the citizen.

Your tasks will include, among others

• assess, support and evaluate the citizen's functional ability and rehabilitation needs
• plan and carry out individual physiotherapeutic interventions
• work with a focus on mobility, functional ability and training
• contribute to multidisciplinary assessments and joint plans for the citizen's pathway
• collaborate with citizens, relatives and relevant partners
• document and follow up on the physiotherapeutic interventions
• contribute to the development of professional practice and workflows.

About Borgernær Sundhed

Borgernær Sundhed is a new department at Odense University Hospital, established as part of the health reform.

The department should support a more closely connected and equitable health care system and ensure professionally strong offers to citizens who need health services closer to their everyday life.

From 1 January 2027, Borgernær Sundhed will among other things take over responsibility for health and care placements and regional acute nursing care.

Employment terms

The position is generally 37 hours per week. In time, the working hours may also include day shifts on weekends.

The region is obliged to inform you of the starting salary for the position. You will be told the base salary, centrally set allowances and pension under the agreement for occupational therapists/physiotherapists and midwives – agreement 33.21.1.

In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.
