About the job
Do you have solid experience with GDPR and a desire to set the direction for data protection in the education sector?
Our task is not merely to explain the rules, but to help schools comply with them in practice. Therefore it is important that you can understand the schools’ everyday life and find solutions that both support data protection and make sense in organizations where teaching and learning are the core task.
About Fælles Digital
Fælles Digital is an administrative IT community for self-owned educational institutions. We provide IT operations, support, security, GDPR advisory, system management, data- and AI-solutions as well as digital development to our member schools. We have about 65 employees and support more than 35 educational institutions across the country.
Our ambition is clear: We want to be the strongest and most well-run digital community in the sector.
About the position
We are ready to take on even more tasks for the schools in the work with GDPR and ensure better help and guidance. The area is under continued development, and you must thrive on creating structure, prioritizing initiatives and driving improvements. Therefore we are looking for a person who is motivated by building and developing.
You will become part of a small, professionally strong GDPR team in the Digital Development and Learning department and reporting to the Head of Digital Development and AI. The team’s tasks consist of:
· Advising the schools on concrete GDPR questions and handling data breaches
· Assist the work to make AI tools available in a safe and responsible way – and advise the schools on how they can use the technology without compromising data protection
· Review and entering data processing agreements in close cooperation with the schools
· Preparation of risk assessments, impact analyses and records as well as evaluation of new systems and applications
· Preparation of governance- and awareness material
· Facilitation of knowledge sharing across the GDPR-responsible staff at the schools
The concrete task arrangement is agreed in the team according to experience and competence. You will have good opportunities to shape the development of our GDPR efforts, including the framework, tools and workflows for the collaboration with the schools.
About you
We are looking for a colleague with several years of experience within GDPR and data protection. You have worked with the area in practice and are used to independently handling complex issues and advising leaders and staff on legal, organizational and technical questions. You can build trust and translate rules and principles into pragmatic solutions that work in the daily life of the schools, and you are motivated by creating structure and progress in complex tasks.
Your educational background is not decisive, but we would like you to have
· Several years of experience with advisory, governance, risk assessments, impact analyses, data processing agreements and data breaches
· Ability to translate legislation and principles into concrete solutions and recommendations
· Insight into the schools’ needs and ability to translate GDPR requirements into usable solutions
· Development-oriented and thriving on creating new solutions
· Enjoys collaboration and guidance across different professional areas
· Communicates clearly both orally and in writing
· Works independently, in a structured and analytical way and can create overview and systematization
· Enjoys developing and maturing processes, workflows and tools
In short, we are looking for an experienced GDPR consultant who can bridge law, technology and practice. You are motivated by helping schools succeed with data protection and enjoy creating structure, developing solutions and translating complex requirements into something that works in everyday life.
Experience with data protection in the public sector, knowledge of the education sector, and experience with administrative law or contract law will weigh positively, but we are primarily looking for a GDPR professional profile. We highly value skill development, and there will be ongoing opportunities to learn new competencies.
Salary and employment terms
You will be employed under the applicable state agreement, e.g. the AC agreement. Salary level depends on experience and competencies. Start date is expected January 1, 2027 or as soon as possible. Workplace is Børstenbindervej 6, 5230 Odense M. We have two fixed home-working days per week and flexible work arrangement. Travel to schools across the country may be expected to some extent.
If you have questions about the position, you are welcome to contact the GDPR consultant, Christina Maj Kingo Hegelund at tel. 2345 5099. Please note that Christina will be on vacation in week 42 and therefore cannot be reached during this period.
Send an email and attach your application including CV, motivation letter and diplomas to [email protected] . Application deadline is Wednesday, 28 October. Interviews are expected to be held in weeks 45 and 47. There will be a short case for the first interview.
We are completely fine with you using AI, but we would like to be able to sense you and your personality in your application.
