Welcome to Solsiden

In Solsiden, much of what is needed to create a really good institution is already in place. We have wonderful children, engaged parents, good premises and a huge playground.

In recent times we have also experienced a number of staff changes. Therefore you join Solsiden at a time when there is something to tackle – and a lot to build on.

You will help assemble a strong team, set a clear professional direction and create a daily life where both children and staff thrive. You will also have the opportunity to develop our competence center for children with special needs, so that in the future we can give even more children a place in our community.

You will also become part of a community

Solsiden is part of Jægersborg Børnehus, which consists of Solsiden, Sauntesvej and Tjørnestien. That means you will not be alone with the leadership task.

You will have Kathrine and Emilie as leadership colleagues. They are daily managers at our two other sites, and with them you can discuss big and small matters – at the leadership meeting or in a quick phone call. And that’s not bad. For they are both a joy to be with, professionally strong and know the operation.

Together with the head of the institution you set the direction for Jægersborg Børnehus and help each other succeed as leaders.

Can you see yourself in the task?

We are not looking for one particular type of leader. But we hope that you want to set the direction – and have the courage to do it close to the pedagogical practice.

You should want to bring people together around a shared professional direction, be clear about your expectations and at the same time be curious about what your employees see and know. For Solsiden should not be built by you alone. It should be built together with those who work here.

In return you will have space to lead in your own way. There is a large professional latitude and freedom of method in Gentofte Municipality, and you will have flexibility to plan your work.

You will also have the opportunity to develop yourself as a leader. If you do not already have a diploma in leadership, you will have the opportunity to take it with us. In addition you will have access to continuing education, professional events and a leadership network with leaders from the municipality's other institutions.
