General manager sought for Hotel Tante, Restaurant Tante & Columbus

In the middle of Lemvig lies Hotel Tante – a cozy hotel with 41 rooms, with Restaurant Tante in the same building. In the town we also have Columbus, our wine and cocktail bar, which is a popular gathering place for both locals and tourists.

We are looking for a general manager who can lead the overall operations and help develop the business further.

A visible leader with a focus on both people and business

As general manager you will be the central figure in daily operations. You must be close to both guests and staff, and help develop the many activities that will take place across our business areas.

We have periods of high tempo and many guests. Therefore you must be able to keep a cool head, create structure and at the same time maintain the good hospitality and the cozy atmosphere.

You will report directly to the ownership group (a local investor group) and become an important sounding board for both operations, development and new opportunities.

Your main tasks

Broad responsibility, including among other things

• The daily operations of Hotel Tante, Restaurant Tante and Columbus
• Leadership, motivation and development of the employees
• Ensure high quality in the guest experience
• Scheduling and coordination across our activities
• Ensure a healthy and efficient operation with follow-up on revenue, costs and profitability
• Recruiting and training of new employees
• Create a strong collaboration between hotel, restaurant and bar
• Develop new ideas and activities that can attract more guests
• Actively work to strengthen the customer base – among locals and tourists

We are looking for someone who...

You do not need to know everything from day one, but we imagine you have experience from the hotel, restaurant or experience industry and understand the reality we work in.

In addition, we would like you to

• Have experience with personnel management
• Be good with people and naturally build relationships with both guests and staff
• Have a good commercial sense and understand the connection between guest experience, revenue and profitability
• Be structured and good at prioritizing when it gets busy
• Be a strong team player
• Be visible in the operation and not afraid to roll up your sleeves yourself – also on the small everyday tasks
• Have energy and commitment

Job/working hours
