Substance Abuse Worker at Middelfart Substance Abuse Center

We are seeking a substance abuse counselor at the Substance Abuse Center Middelfart with employment from 1.12.26 or as soon as possible thereafter. The position is a 37-hour position.

About us

Substance Abuse Center Middelfart is part of the Center for Social Psychiatry, Rehabilitation and Substance Abuse in Middelfart Municipality.

Our core task is to offer outpatient social-work and medical treatment to citizens aged 15 and up with substance and/or alcohol dependence.

The treatment includes, among other things

• Individual treatment sessions
• MOVE programs for youths
• Group treatment
• Couple sessions and sessions with relatives
• Medical treatment
• NADA

We work cross-disciplinary and holistic with the citizen at the center, and participate in coordinated interventions across partners.

The team consists of

• 5 counselors
• 2 nurses
• 1 doctor
• 1 administrative staff member
• 1 department head

About the position

We are seeking a practitioner with a social-work background – preferably with experience in substance abuse treatment.

You will play a central role in the treatment work and must be able to navigate a busy daily life with many collaboration interfaces – both internally and externally.

We expect that you

• Have the desire and energy to work with people who live with an addiction
• Work engaged, structured and have good collaboration skills
• Actively bring your professional expertise into play
• Have the ability to accommodate and meet vulnerable people
• Are skilled in relationship-building and establishing contact
• Wish to be an active contributor in a colleague group where collaboration, sparring and joint development are in focus

Your primary tasks will be to

• Provide substance abuse treatment for citizens aged 15 and up
• Participate in and support coordinating processes – especially for citizens with dual diagnoses
• Work across disciplines and holistically around the citizen
• Work independently while remaining loyal to shared decisions
