About the job

Are you keen to be part of a teaching team where you actually do things together? Then we may have a place for you at Enghavegård School

We are looking for a German teacher for a permanent position. It is an advantage if you can also teach Danish or mathematics.

Maybe you are experienced. Maybe you are newly qualified. Or maybe you come with a special expertise that you want to bring into play. For us, the most important thing is that you want to be part of a strong community and make a difference for our students.

With us, we plan, develop and evaluate the teaching together. You will become part of a fixed year-group team where sparring, shared responsibility, and close collaboration are a natural part of everyday life.

What our new hires say

When we asked our new hires what a job advertisement should tell about Enghavegård School, the same words repeated:

"Tell them that you never stand alone. Tell about the colleagues who always help, and a leadership that is close by. Here there is room to get ideas – and help to make them even better."

That is exactly the school we want to be.

If it arouses your curiosity, read on – or even better: come by and experience the atmosphere. We are very happy to show the school.

Enghavegård School

At Enghavegård School, our daily life is built on committed communities, curiosity and safety. This stems from our vision:

"Going to school must have value in itself and not only be seen as a means to something else."

We believe that good relationships are the foundation for learning, well-being and development. Therefore we place emphasis on the student's voice and work so that both children and adults experience the school as a safe place to be.

At the same time, we are a school with strong traditions. Musical, project weeks and subject-themed days give students the opportunity to express themselves creatively, academically and socially.

A school where you do not stand alone

From this school year we are working in a new way: Five fixed adults are attached to the three classes in each year group.

This means that we take the task together. When a colleague is absent, students as a starting point meet a familiar adult, and in everyday life the organization provides much better possibilities for joint teaching, group work, co-teaching and close collaboration between teachers and pedagogues.

We experience that this creates both higher quality for the students and a stronger working environment for the staff.

With us, you get

  • A strong collegial community with high spirits
  • Dedicated and helpful colleagues who share knowledge
  • Close team collaboration with joint planning and sparring
  • Room to develop and test your own ideas
  • A mentorship program and a safe start as a new employee
  • Good opportunities for professional and personal development
  • An accessible, listening and inclusive leadership

We hope that you…

  • are a trained teacher with subject specialism in German
  • prefer to teach Danish or mathematics
  • are passionate about students' learning and well-being
  • can create inclusive learning environments with clear classroom management
  • are curious, collaborative and contribute positively to the community
  • meet students, parents and colleagues with balance and respect

Come and visit us

We know that a job advert tells only part of the story. Therefore we would love to invite you to drop by for a coffee and a tour so you can feel the atmosphere and meet some of the people you may work with.

If you have questions, please contact the school principal Kristoffer Almer Færkel at phone 26 15 26 49 or email [email protected] or deputy principal Peter Lund at phone 71 70 29 74.
