A LITTLE ABOUT ME

I am a quiet, calm, and sweet girl of 26 who has muscular dystrophy. I live in Odense SV.

I use an electric wheelchair, as I don’t have strength in my legs and upper arms, but my mind is fine.

I am very interested in DnD, as well as almost all things nerdy. In addition, I love overanalyzing films, series, and books, as I generally just love good stories. Of course I also enjoy spending a lot of my time with my friends and family.

I need help with personal care, transfers, and companionship for schooling, social activities, medical appointments, and cleaning, etc.

I also need help with transfers and positioning at night, so someone is awake during night shifts. I use BiPAP when I sleep.

JOB DESCRIPTION

You will become part of my team, which consists of a total of 4 fixed full-time employees. I can currently offer you a position of about 6 shifts per month, but there is almost always an opportunity for more. Shifts are 12 hours long, and on weekdays, as well as on weekends and holidays. Shifts run from 07:00-19:00, or 19:00-07:00. It will mainly be day shifts, but night shifts are possible when covering shifts due to illness. I am looking for a fixed part-time from 01/02, but there will be an opportunity to start training earlier.

You, as a disability helper, will be part of a good, flexible, and necessary team of disability helpers that collectively cover all shifts year round. The job takes place in the citizen’s own home, for leisure activities, social events, and the excursions the citizen would like to participate in.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Driver's license B
• You are cheerful, and of the same gender as me.
• You are roughly the same age as me (or somewhere between 25 and 45 years old), and have a good sense of humor.
• You possess human respect, are responsible, and flexible.
• You must be okay with being around animals, as my lovely cat is the boss in my home.
• You must have situational awareness and be able to be in your own company.
• You must also be aware that you will become part of a home, and that the most important part of being a helper is to be a fly on the wall, and help the everyday life function.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

• Part-time: about 18 hours per week, on average
