A little about me

I am a quiet and calm, and kind girl of 26 who has muscular dystrophy. I live in Odense SV.

I sit in an electric wheelchair, as I do not have strength in my legs and upper arms, but otherwise my head is fine. I am very interested in DnD, as well as almost everything nerdy.

In addition, I love to overanalyse films, series, and books, as I generally just love good stories. Of course I also enjoy spending a lot of my time with my friends and family.

I need help with personal care, transfers, and need accompaniment to schooling, social activities, medical appointments, and cleaning, etc.

I also need help with turning/vendings and transfers at night, so someone is awake on night shifts. I use a Bipap when I sleep.

JOB DESCRIPTION

You will become part of my team, which consists of 4 fixed full-time employees.

I can currently offer you a position of about 12 shifts per month, but there is almost always room for more.

The shifts are 12 hours long, and on weekdays, as well as weekends and holidays. Shifts run from 07:00-19:00, or from 19:00-07:00.

It will mainly be day shifts, but night shifts are possible when covering shifts due to illness.

I am looking for a fixed full-time helper from 14/12, but there will be an opportunity to start training earlier.

You will as a handicap helper be part of a good, flexible and necessary team of handicap helpers who together cover all shifts year round.

The job takes place in the citizen's own home, for leisure activities, social events and the excursions the citizen would like to participate in.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Class B driving license
• You are cheerful, and of the same gender as me.
• You are roughly my age (or somewhere between 25 and 45 years old), and have a good sense of humor.
• You possess human respect, are responsible, and flexible.
• You must be okay with being around animals, as my lovely cat is the boss in my home.
• You must have situational awareness, and be able to be in your own company.
• You must also be aware that you are becoming part of a home, and that the most important part of being a helper is to be a fly on the wall, and to help daily life run smoothly.
