Hands-on Team Leader for our Technical and Service Department - sought for CABINN Copenhagen - the Nordic region's largest hotel.

Can you keep an overview of a large, buzzing hotel with 1202 rooms?

Do you thrive in a day-to-day where you are equally visible as a Team Leader, a good planner, and the one who rolls up their sleeves and solves the tasks in operations?

Then you are the person we are looking for as our new Team Leader for CABINN Copenhagen.

CABINN Copenhagen is the largest CABINN hotel and opened in August 2019 and can with its 1202 rooms call itself the Nordic's largest hotel.

The hotel’s rooms are distributed between hotel rooms and mini apartments and are divided into 2 towers.

The hotel has 3 event cinemas, a training center, a meeting/event venue, a large morning café, as well as its own parking basement.

We are looking for someone who has a strong technical/handyman insight and who will take pride in ensuring that all outdoor and indoor areas always appear well maintained and neat. You will have the overall responsibility for the hotel’s buildings, technical installations and preventive maintenance.

You will be responsible for a small, efficient team consisting of 1 full-time and 3 part-time employees.

As we are a compact team for a very large hotel, it is crucial that you actively participate in the daily, practical operations and fault-fixing side by side with your colleagues.

The primary tasks and responsibilities

• Daily operations and maintenance
• Overall responsibility for planning and execution of preventive maintenance - including painting, repair tasks, and ongoing ad hoc tasks. Ensure that outdoor areas, the parking basement and storage facilities are tidy.

Also includes urgent fault-fixing on the hotel’s buildings, fixtures, and installations (VVS, electrical, fire systems, ventilation, AV equipment, etc.)

• Conference support and setup
• Preparation of event spaces, including table arrangement and setup, testing and fault-fixing of AV equipment and possible IT before and during events.

• Contact to external suppliers
• Coordination and quality assurance of external craftsmen and technical specialists for larger tasks and mandatory inspections.
• Regulatory requirements and safety
• Ensure that the hotel at all times complies with all legal requirements within fire safety (ABA/AVA), occupational safety, elevators, and other regulatory requirements.
• Close interdisciplinary collaboration
• Play an active role and collaborate closely with, among others, Housekeeping and reception to minimize disturbances for guests.
• Active participation in operations
• Lead from the front and solve practical, technical tasks and urgent fault-fixing on the hotel’s 1202 rooms, installations, common areas indoors and outdoors.
• Staff leadership
• Daily leadership and motivation of the hotel’s smaller service team.

Who are you?

• Have a solid technical or craft background, or a background as a handyman or hotel/service technician.
• Have experience with technical property management from a larger property, another large hotel, conference center or similar complex environments.
• preferably knowledge of or interest in IT and AV equipment.
• Are very hands-on – you love using your hands and are motivated by solving concrete, daily challenges.
• Are structured, service-minded and can maintain a cool overview when prioritizing between many ad hoc tasks at once.
• Are a visible, informal and motivating Team Leader who can get the best out of a small team with both full-time and part-time employees.
• You speak and understand Danish and can communicate in English
• Have a valid driver’s license (Category B) and can operate a manual transmission. There may be occasional goods transport between hotels in Copenhagen.
• A police clearance certificate can be presented
