Vejle Municipality's Dagpleje consists of just over 130 employees who daily ensure that about 400 of the municipality's youngest residents have a secure and developing everyday life in their first important years of life. We place great emphasis on a high-quality day-care through competence development and a good working environment.

Our leader for more than 5 years has chosen a position in the administration, and we therefore miss a new skilled leader who is passionate about day-care. A leader who can ensure structure, security and development internally and who can create visibility of Dagplejen's qualities externally.

We emphasize that the new leader has a good knowledge of day-care, and that the new leader views Dagplejen as an important part of the overall day-care area with the qualities and conditions that characterize Dagplejen. We also emphasize that the new leader has respect for many of the initiatives that we already succeed very well with – while a new leader obviously should come with new perspectives and new energy.

• You set a direction, dare to think anew, lead by example – while you ensure that things are finished
• You work in a structured, strategic way, are persistent and deliver results
• You keep your finger on the pedagogical pulse – i.e. you stay updated on the national agendas while having a sense of what is at stake in pedagogical practice
• You bring the employees' competencies into play through trust, involvement and recognition – while you can make difficult decisions and maintain propriety when necessary
• You can coordinate both professional development and a good working environment for the staff
• You are a good communicator and balance being a good listener with engaging in dialogue. You can communicate internally both verbally and in writing and ensure Dagplejen's visibility externally as part of the overall day-care area.
• You emphasize a good collaboration with parents with a very broad and diverse parent group
• You can lead a strong leadership team and a group of Dagplejekonsulenter by enabling others, creating followers and delegating tasks
• You have flair for and can take responsibility for the administrative and financial leadership of a large organization with a complicated economy – of course in collaboration with the administrative staff and the administration
• You bring your good humor to work and a desire to actively contribute to creating good social moments in the Dagplejen work community.
• You have relevant pedagogical education and management experience

About us

In Dagplejen we have 119 Dagplejere (day-care providers), 9 Dagplejekonsulenter, a released TR, a flyer, two administrative staff, two janitors, a pedagogical leader and a Dagplejeleder.

We supervise 33 local areas in the municipality, we have 19 playroom matriculation groups and about 40 playroom groups. Additionally, we supervise the private care arrangements in the Municipality.

Dagplejerne are divided into local playroom groups, which form the starting point for some of the professional sparring between dagplejer/daycare consultant.

We have a high degree of parent and employee satisfaction. There is a strong focus on development, well-being and learning – this applies to both children and adults. Education and development are a large part of Dagplejen's identity.

We aim to have a workplace where everyone is dedicated to their job regardless of function. There is a high degree of freedom and flexibility. There must always be room for it to be fun to both go to Dagplejen and work in Dagplejen.

Dagplejen also supervises the private care arrangements/private caregivers.

Pedagogically, we, like the rest of the day-care department, are focused on the development program Play and Interaction in Community based on Tea Thyrre's teaching and materials. We also focus on KIDS, which is used in Dagplejen consultants' supervision and sparring with the Dagplejers.

Terms of employment

Salary and terms of employment follow the agreement with BUPL, the pre-agreement and rules on local pay formation.

Starting salary

Employment is according to the agreement for pedagogically educated personnel in leadership positions in municipalities, § 3 - 6. The expected starting salary for full-time and excluding pension is 46,655 DKK, depending on seniority. It should be noted that the final placement, including collective agreement basis and salary level, is determined based on your education and qualifications and the specific offered position.

There is an application deadline of November 9 at midnight. The first round of interviews will be held on Monday, October 16 in the afternoon and possibly second interview on Monday, October 23 in the afternoon.
