About the job

Would you lead employees, strengthen collaboration with companies and create more apprenticeships for our students?

Roskilde Tekniske Skole is seeking a department head who can strengthen the apprenticeship effort and deliver results. You should have a desire for personnel management and energy to develop the outreach work together with your staff.

Your tasks

You will be responsible for leading and developing the school's business consultants and creating good frameworks for their outreach work towards companies and the school's students, so that more students obtain an apprenticeship agreement.

You are also responsible for the enrollment of students in the school apprenticeship center and for ensuring a targeted effort that helps school apprenticeship students progress into apprenticeship agreements.

Your central tasks will be to

  • lead and develop the staff through clear expectations, professional sparring and ongoing follow-up
  • set goals for the outreach corporate work and follow up on efforts and results
  • create structure and prioritise the tasks so that employees' time and competencies are used as effectively as possible
  • strengthen collaboration with companies and develop opportunities for more apprenticeships
  • ensure close cross-organizational collaboration with education leaders, school apprenticeship instructors, counsellors, teachers and administration
  • ensure quality in the area's case handling, documentation and administrative processes.

Who are you?

You are a clear and engaging leader who builds trust, sets direction and gets the staff on board. You communicate clearly, give space for expertise and manage to translate common goals into concrete actions in everyday life.

You have drive, initiative and a natural desire to create results. You see opportunities, work persistently and thrive on creating momentum in efforts where relationships, collaboration and an outreach approach are crucial.

We also place emphasis on that you

  • work in a structured manner and manage to balance daily operations with an ongoing focus on development
  • build good collaborative relationships and promote dialogue and mutual understanding across disciplines and functions
  • have an eye for the needs of companies and for developing students' competencies so they are strong in their search for an apprenticeship and in facing the labor market
  • can ensure that work in the school apprenticeship area complies with applicable rules and requirements.

What we offer

In the position you will have line management responsibility for eight business consultants. You will get an exciting leadership role with the opportunity to shape the development of the apprenticeship area and make a tangible difference in the students' journey from the start of education to working life.

The position includes both operational and development-oriented leadership tasks, and you will have the opportunity to bring your experiences and ideas into play and turn them into action.

You will become part of cross-functional collaboration with the school's education leaders and other professional functions, with a focus on joint solutions and coherence in the efforts around the students.

You will be part of the school's functional management and report to the head of the department for educational administration and the apprenticeship area. You will have ongoing sparring and close coordination of efforts with the department head.

You will have a high degree of autonomy in task solving and a high degree of freedom to plan your working day. We prioritise present leadership, and your working day will therefore primarily take place at the school, close to your staff. There is also the possibility of remote work on certain days when it can be combined with the tasks and the responsibility as a leader.

Employment terms and application deadline

The position is a permanent full-time role with start date 1 February 2027. The workplace is Pulsen 10, 4000 Roskilde.

Salary and terms of employment are set according to the applicable collective agreement.

If you would like to know more about the position, please contact department head Michael Bondrup Holm at phone 22686782 or email [email protected] .
