About the job

Do you want to lead two specialized residential services for young people and adults with autism? And can you see yourself as a present leader who moves between two addresses and two different offerings?

Then perhaps you are the one we are seeking as department head for Jens Warmings Vej and Skolegade.

You will get a diverse leadership role, where you must ensure stable operations, high professional quality and a clear direction while being close to staff and citizens at both services.

About Jens Warmings Vej

Jens Warmings Vej in Amager is a temporary § 107 residential service for 13 citizens aged 18-35 with autism. The service focuses on development and maintenance of the citizens' competences through a structured training program aimed at eventually living more independently with or without support. Work includes clear phases, goal setting, relationships and close cooperation with the citizens and their relatives.

About Skolegade

Skolegade in Valby is a supported housing community for 14 citizens aged 32-61 with autism. Here the focus is on creating a meaningful and manageable everyday life that supports the citizens' independence and self-determination. The service has specialized knowledge about autism spectrum disorders and emphasizes professional development, social communities and close cooperation with relatives.

A versatile leadership role at two addresses

You will become leader for two well-established offerings with their own histories, staff, citizens and daily life. That means you are not stepping into a blank canvas. You must build on what works, create continuity and at the same time have an eye for where there is a need for development and a new direction. It is therefore important that you want a leadership role where you are physically present. You must be able to see the value in being close to practice, the staff and the citizens.

You thus get a leadership position with daily variation, where you must both be able to lift your gaze and work strategically and at the same time be close to day-to-day operations.

Your main tasks will be

  • lead the staff groups and create clear direction, well-being, engagement and professional development
  • be a present and visible leader and have an eye for the different needs and cultures
  • ensure stable operations, including shift planning, resource management, prioritisation and follow-up
  • ensure high professional quality and support that pedagogical methods and professional approaches are translated into practice
  • follow up on workflows, documentation, goals and quality standards
  • create coherence and collaboration across the two offerings while respecting their different target groups and tasks
  • collaborate with internal and external partners, including authorities, psychiatry, job centers and relatives

Your management community

You will have your own management responsibility, but you are not alone. Jens Warmings Vej and Skolegade are anchored in the organization NORA, which consists of five residential services in total. You will become part of a cross-organizational leadership community with other department heads and a service leader, where there is an opportunity for sparring, joint reflection and collaboration on both operations and development.

At the two offerings we work, among other things, with neuro-pedagogy, Low Arousal, KRAP (cognitive, resource-focused and affirmative practice), citizen involvement and recovery-oriented approaches.

We are seeking a leader who

  • has leadership experience and preferably experience from autism and/or the social sector – experience or knowledge of psychiatry is a clear advantage
  • has a leadership education or is keen to obtain one
  • can translate professionalism and methods into practice and set direction, follow up and create quality in daily work
  • is clear, present and relationally strong and can create followers, engagement and well-being
  • has an eye for both people, operations and quality and works systematically with agreements, goals and follow-up
  • can stand calmly and clearly in an organization with existing cultures and at the same time be curious about what can be developed and improved
  • communicates clearly and inspiringly and can build good relations with staff, citizens, relatives and partners

We offer

  • an exciting and versatile leadership position with responsibility for two different, specialized offerings
  • opportunity to set direction and develop professionalism, culture and collaboration
  • close sparring with service leader and leadership colleagues
  • a professional environment with high ambitions and focus on development
  • leadership development and competence development
  • a strong multidisciplinary collaboration
  • a meaningful leadership role with great significance for both citizens and staff.

Salary and employment terms are according to applicable collective agreement and within the framework of local pay formation.
