Would you like to help maintain a strong professional direction in a developing finance department – while keeping your close contact with the customers?

At Østdansk Landboforening we are seeking a professional lead for our finance department. You will play a central role in maintaining professional quality, creating a common direction and developing our workflows across Rønnede, Hagested and Rønne. Your workplace will primarily be in Rønnede.

The position is essentially split with approximately 50% professional leadership and 50% client-facing tasks. It is important to us that you continue to have your own client portfolio. This ensures you stay close to the customers' realities and remain up to date with current professional issues, opportunities and needs.

Your role

As the professional lead you will be a professional focal point for the department's consultants. You don't have to know the answer to everything, but you should be able to qualify complex problems, bring the right knowledge into play and create direction when there are multiple possible paths.

You will work closely with the department head, who continues to handle staff management and the overall responsibility for the department's operations, finances and development. You report to the department head and will play an important role as a professional counterpart in the ongoing development of the finance department.

Your tasks will include

• set the direction for the department's professional work and support a high and consistent quality across our three locations
• provide professional sparring within, among other things, operating economics, strategy, succession planning, tax, advances, estates and companies
• support colleagues in complex client assignments and contribute to bringing the right specialist knowledge into play
• translate professional knowledge and experience into usable workflows, descriptions and best practices
• take an active part in the reception and onboarding of new clients and strengthen and structure our client onboarding, so that customers experience a professional, safe and coherent process from the first contact to daily advisory
• contribute to quality assurance, knowledge sharing and professional learning in the department
• manage and develop your own client portfolio with advisory and other client-facing tasks.

Who are you?

We imagine that you have a strong financial and advisory background and an in-depth knowledge of agricultural sector’s financial and tax-related matters. You can span a broad range of topics, but you do not need to be a specialist in every area.

• have solid experience with financial advisory – preferably within agriculture
• have high professional credibility and thrive with complex issues
• can create direction and buy-in without having personnel management responsibilities
• are available and approachable in your sparring with colleagues
• can convey complex material clearly, concretely and applicable
• work in a structured way and can translate knowledge into common standards and workflows
• have an eye for both quality, customer experience and business
• are motivated by succeeding through others – while you yourself are active in client-facing advisory
• can build relationships and collaborate across disciplines and geographical locations.

You may already have experience with professional leadership. It could also be that today you are an experienced consultant or specialist who is naturally approached by colleagues and now wants a clearer mandate to raise the professionalism around you.

The position has no personnel responsibilities. Staff management is handled by the department head, to whom you also report.
