Helper wanted for 2 x 12-hour shifts

A LITTLE ABOUT ME

A 43-year-old woman who lives in a house with my husband and two teenagers. I use a powered wheelchair and need help, as I am partially paralysed on one side, and communication takes place using a speech-generating device.

I enjoy making things in the kitchen, within the limits of my creativity.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Help to be arms and legs in daily life, and with everyday tasks. You will become a permanent part of the family.

Good at keeping yourself entertained during the times when I don’t need help at the workplace.

Requirement that you have a driving licence because I have a mobility car.

I offer fixed hours: Monday and Wednesday from 8:30 to 20:30. Training 2 x 8 hours from 08:30 to 16:30.

• engaged
• experience is an advantage, but chemistry is the most important
• since some tasks can be physically demanding, good physical fitness would be an advantage.

As a disability helper you become part of a good, flexible and essential team of disability aides, who together cover all shifts year-round. The job takes place in the citizen’s own home, for leisure activities, social events and the excursions the citizen may wish to participate in.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Driving licence B
• Flexible
• Non-smoker
• Independent
• Have respect and understanding for working in a private home
• High hygiene standard
• Good with children
• A helper of roughly the same age

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

• Start date: As soon as possible
• Part-time: 24 hours per week
