Hospital Service Assistant for Service Department Køge - Wing D (D0/D1), Zealand University Hospital, Køge

Service-minded hospital service assistant sought for a 37-hour position.

Service Department Køge, Operations Division, Zealand University Hospital Køge, has a position available to be filled on 1 December 2026 or as soon as possible.

The position is in our newly opened Wing D (D0/D1), and we are expanding our service group with a 37-hour-per-week position with rotating shifts, i.e., Monday to Friday, in the hours 06:00 - 20:00.

Service Department Køge is a busy department, where the focus is on the quality of the service provided and the close contact with collaboration partners. The staff help create good patient pathways. They work in teams in the departments to which they are attached.

Service groups are partly self-managing and act daily autonomously in planning the work in accordance with the management guidelines.

Job description / tasks

The tasks will include, among others, as follows

• Cleaning
• Transport and movement of patients
• Isolation cleaning
• Ad hoc

We expect that you

• Are trained as a hospital service assistant, or possibly have experience from a similar position and preferably trained within the cleaning, nutrition or porter area. If you are not a vocationally trained service assistant with a specialization in hospital service, you will be hired as an unskilled service assistant. It is required in your employment that you commence and complete training as a vocational service assistant with a specialization in hospital service no later than the end of your second year of employment if you meet the conditions for this – otherwise training will commence as soon as you meet the conditions, and a training group will be established. During training your average weekly working time is 37 hours per week in mixed shifts
• Have basic computer skills
• Possibly have knowledge of INSTA 800 and DS 2451-10
• Be an outgoing and service-minded person who takes pride in delivering good service
• Be committed, responsible, reliable and flexible
• Have an interest in interacting with people and be able to cooperate
• Be quality-conscious and have a sense of order
• Be open to change and adaptable
• Can speak, read and understand Danish

The heart of Service Department Køge at Zealand University Hospital Køge is the staff. They handle a wide range of tasks, some visible to patients and relatives, others only for staff. Starting salary for employees under the collective agreement

The region is obliged to inform you of the starting salary for the position. You will be informed of base salary, centrally fixed supplements and pension under the relevant collective agreement. In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.
