About the job

Are you a nurse or nursing student in 6th/7th semester and interested in being hourly paid in the Department of Children and Adolescents at Zealand University Hospital in Roskilde, please feel free to send your application.

As an hourly paid employee you have influence over which types of shifts you want to take and thus fit it into your daily life. There is the possibility to get shifts a month ahead, but we also want you to be flexible and able to help urgently.

We are looking for you who are proactive and engaged in your work and can use your professional overview to see tasks that arise in the future

In the Department of Children and Adolescents you will have the opportunity to develop your nursing, so you can independently, after training, handle the work in all shifts. As an hourly paid employee you will receive individually tailored training for the specialty. We would very much like the training to take place in as continuous days as possible during day shifts.

A typical day is that you arrive at 7 and in SP read up on the patients you are assigned. By 8:30 AM it is targeted that values have been measured on all patients and you have created an overview of the tasks related to your patients. Morning rounds with the doctors are at 8:50 and subsequent rounds from 9-16.

The shifts are

Day shift 7-15

Evening shift 15-23

Night shift 23-07

The department has room for 12 patients, mainly single rooms, with one 4-person room.

If you are an experienced nurse there is an opportunity to be trained in our pediatric intake.

The department receives children and adolescents aged 0-18 years primarily with medical conditions, but also some surgical patients. We focus on optimal patient pathways, a high professional level and are largely organized into interdisciplinary specialty-related teams.

We work with targeted nursing in close collaboration with children and adolescents and their parents.

You are very welcome to drop by and get a feel for the department and a cup of coffee where you can get answers to any questions.

You can call the Chief Nurse Michelle Nordvig or Charlotte Nimand at tel. 47324211

You can also email at [email protected] and [email protected]

Interviews are held on an ongoing basis, so hurry to send your application.
