About the job

Do you want to lead an HR area with central significance for the entire organization? And are you motivated by creating direction, coherence and good frameworks for managers and employees to succeed?

As HR Chief in Hvidovre Municipality you will hold a central position in the continued development of the overall HR area. You will become part of an organization with great energy and a desire to advance HR, and you will meet engaged employees and managers who are ready to contribute. It gives you a strong starting point to set direction and develop solutions that create visible value across the organization.

The tasks - what you will do with us You will further develop HR as a strategic partner that supports the municipality's leaders and employees based on the organization's needs. At the same time, you must strengthen coherence across HR's professional areas and ensure that the area's efforts contribute to the municipality's strategic goals. An important part of the task will be to create a common understanding of HR's role and ensure ongoing expectation alignment regarding priorities and deliveries across the organization.

You will have the overall responsibility to lead and develop the HR area as a well-functioning department with a strong professional and collegial community. Together with the two team leaders you shall implement the new organization, create clear frameworks and strengthen collaboration across the area. You must set a common direction for the work and create good conditions for employees' well-being, professional development and task solving.

You shall lead the translation of the revised HR strategy into concrete initiatives with a focus on, among other things, recruitment, the attractive workplace, reducing sickness absence, collaboration culture and a more data-based approach to HR. This requires that you can prioritize between different needs and create coherence between the municipality's ambitions and HR's resources.

You must also follow up on ongoing initiatives, maintain momentum and ensure that new initiatives are carried out and create value for the organization and thereby the citizens. You also have a central role in the cultural organizational development, where you must contribute to strengthening collaboration across centers – we call it New organizational thinking.

Profile - what we expect of you We are looking for an HR Chief with ambitions for the area and with genuine commitment to people and collaboration. With relevant leadership experience and solid knowledge of the HR field you have a strategic holistic view and can translate complex political agendas into choices and priorities that can function in practice.

We imagine that you have experience from a municipality or another politically led organization and have an eye for both development agendas, personnel law and secure operation.

You thrive in a daily environment where simple answers are rarely found, and where decisions often require weighing up different considerations. You keep an overview when there are many agendas, and manage to create forward momentum through clear priorities and well-considered decisions.

You are interested in the organization's needs and are focused on creating solutions that make a noticeable difference in everyday life. You build strong relationships across the organization and through dialogue

and collaboration create HR support that is perceived as relevant and valuable, not only for the organization but also for the welfare services we provide to citizens.

In your leadership you succeed in bringing people and professional disciplines together around common goals. You create clear frameworks, give room for responsibility and professional judgment and have an eye for both the individual leader and the overall work community.

This also applies within HR, but also across in a collaborative organization.
