Head of HR - Hvidovre Municipality

As HR Chief in Hvidovre Municipality you get a central position in the continued development of the overall HR area. The tasks - what you will do with us

You will further develop HR as a strategic partner who supports the municipality's managers and employees based on the organization's needs. At the same time you should strengthen the coherence across HR's disciplines and ensure that the area's efforts contribute to the municipality's strategic objectives. An important part of the task will be to create a common understanding of HR's role and ensure ongoing alignment of expectations regarding priorities and deliverables across the organization.

You will have overall responsibility for leading and developing the HR area as a well-functioning department with a strong professional and collegial community. Together with the two team leaders you shall implement the new organization, create clear frames and strengthen cross-area collaboration. You must set a common direction for the work and create good conditions for employees' wellbeing, professional development and task execution.

You will lead in translating the revised HR strategy into concrete actions focusing among other things on recruitment, the attractive workplace, reducing sick leave, collaborative culture and a more data-based approach to HR. It requires you to be able to prioritize between different needs and create coherence between the municipality's ambitions and HR's resources.

You should also follow up on ongoing efforts, maintain momentum and ensure that new initiatives are carried out and create value for the organization and thereby the citizens. In addition, you will have a central role in the cultural organizational development, where you shall contribute to strengthening collaboration across centers – we call it New organizational thinking.

Profile - what we expect from you

We are seeking an HR Chief with ambitions for the area and with a genuine commitment to people and collaboration. With relevant leadership experience and solid knowledge of the HR field you have a strategic holistic view and can translate complex political agendas into choices and priorities that can work in practice.

We envision that you have experience from a municipality or another politically led organization and have a view for development agendas, personnel law and safe operation.

You thrive in a day-to-day where there are rarely simple answers, and where decisions often require weighing different considerations. You keep overview when agendas are many, and manage to create progress through clear priorities and well-considered decisions.

You take an interest in the organization's needs and are focused on creating solutions that make a noticeable difference in everyday life. You build strong relationships across the organization and through dialogue and collaboration manage to create HR support that is perceived as relevant and valuable, not only for the organization but also for the welfare services we provide to citizens.

In your leadership you are able to bring people and disciplines together around common goals. You create clear frameworks, give room for responsibility and professional judgment and have regard for both the individual leader and the collective work community. This applies both in HR, and across in a collaborative organization.
