About KRS and the ICT area

ICT stands for Information and Communication Technology and includes analogue and digital aids that support communication. We work especially with AAC – Augmentative and Alternative Communication – for children, young people and adults with severe communication and language challenges, as well as physical disabilities that may affect the operation of an AAC device. The tasks are carried out both at our offices in Odense and out in the citizens’ home municipalities, and you will have both child and adult assignments with the main focus on children.

Your tasks

As an ICT consultant you shall among other things

  • test ICT- and AAC aids in relation to the child’s problems
  • advise and instruct in the use of analogue and digital AAC solutions
  • tailor digital and analogue AAC solutions
  • collaborate closely with children/young people/adults, relatives and professionals
  • implement solutions in homes, schools and day/residential facilities
  • perform documentation, journaling, minutes and report writing for the processes
  • contribute to knowledge sharing and product familiarity, as well as participate in relevant networks

You will be based at KRS in Odense, but part of the work takes place in the Funen municipalities. A driving licence is therefore required.

Your profile

We expect that you

  • are educated as an audiologist and have experience from the ICT- and AAC-children/young people area.
  • have solid experience with AAC – both in theory and practice.
  • work systematically and knowledge-based and can keep an overview.
  • can work both independently and participate in interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • are flexible with regard to workload, type of tasks, workplace and working hours.
  • thrive with relationship-building and enjoy professional contact with many different people.
  • are welcoming, have humor and value the collegial community.
  • are proficient in Danish, both written and spoken.

We offer

  • a strong team of highly specialized and engaged colleagues across Speech, Hearing, Vision, Mobility and ICT areas
  • a good working environment and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • a thorough introduction to the tasks, mentoring on the job and ongoing professional sparring.
  • good opportunities for professional development and influence on your own task portfolio.
