About the job

Would you like to help solve a concrete climate challenge in agriculture – and be the one who gets the technology to work in practice?

A large part of agriculture's climate footprint comes from methane produced in slurry tanks. AgroGas has been set up to do something about it.

Our technology is already in operation on Danish farms – and now we need many more plants out to work.

Therefore we are looking for a self-driving technician who can take responsibility and make things happen. Someone who can go from problem to solution, troubleshoot when something does not work, and take a task all the way to completion – even when the path is not predefined.

In periods with fewer operational tasks you will have a central role in developing and testing new solutions that can make our technology even better and further reduce methane emissions from livestock.

You will become part of a small, but highly ambitious team, where there is a short path from idea to action, a lot of freedom in daily work, and a real opportunity to influence how we build AgroGas and develop our solutions.

What will you be doing?

Your day-to-day will be varied. Some days you will work with operation and service of existing plants. Other days you will be out with customers helping with surveying, coordinating or installing new plants – and you will play a central role when we kick off new projects.

  • Perform practical assembly and service tasks on farms and landfills
  • Troubleshoot and solve problems, often on your own
  • Survey and plan new installations
  • Coordinate setups with farmers and subcontractors
  • Perform practical assembly and pipe work
  • Prepare plants at our warehouse in Skals
  • Actively contribute to the development and execution of new projects

The job involves driving to customers across Denmark and occasional overnight stays. In exchange you gain great freedom to plan your workday and week yourself.

Who are you?

We place great emphasis on your personal and professional qualities. You must be able to think for yourself, take responsibility and work independently with tasks that are not always defined in detail in advance.

If you see a problem or something that doesn't look right, we expect you to react, investigate it and help find a solution. You will of course be trained in our plants and technology and receive feedback from your colleagues – but as you learn the job, we expect you to take more and more responsibility yourself.

You may be a blacksmith, automation technician, mechanic, electrician or agricultural machinery mechanic.

We expect you to

  • Have good technical understanding of mechanics and installations
  • Have basic PC skills – you must be able to operate our systems, order parts and troubleshoot via computer
  • Have a B driving license
  • Take responsibility and follow tasks through to completion
  • Can work independently and plan your own workday
  • Work in a structured way and pay attention to details
  • Be reliable and trustworthy
  • Work thoroughly and safely and have respect for gas, electrical and process installations
  • Have a good sense of humor and thrive in a small team where we help each other

AgroGas offers

  • A central, independent role in a growing company
  • Great freedom under responsibility
  • Influence on new projects from an early stage
  • Exciting and varied technical tasks
  • Good colleagues and an informal work environment
  • Opportunity to develop yourself and take on more responsibility as the company grows

About AgroGas

A large part of agriculture's climate footprint comes from methane that escapes from slurry tanks on farms. Methane is a much more potent greenhouse gas than CO2 in the short term, and that is the challenge AgroGas was founded in 2022 to address. Our systems collect and destroy the methane before it reaches the atmosphere, converting it to CO2 – which can reduce the CO2 footprint from a pig or dairy cow by up to about 20 percent.
