About the job
Do you want to help develop and manage the construction of the new IT platform and contribute decisively to the Defence’s combat capability by applying your professional expertise and IT skills in an area under political and operational scrutiny?
At a high level, NATO and the Danish defence are facing a comprehensive digital and operational transformation in order to meet future challenges. The transformation is time-critical and entails a cyber-secure, technological, digital and data-centric modernization and the organization of the entire Ministry of Defence's group.
Therefore we are building a corporate-wide program organization at the Danish Ministry of Defence, Materials and Procurement Agency (FMI), which is overall responsible for building a future digital and data-centric defence and for overseeing the digital and operational transformation.
About us
We are looking for a colleague who can help ensure the continued building of the program and deliver on the many exciting tasks the program has.
The program is organized in two main tracks
- Execution: responsible for a new digital backbone and application migration to the new digital backbone.
- Digital foundation: responsible for architecture, data model and governance, sourcing and industry collaboration as well as cyber security
The program is part of the FMI IT staff, and collaborates closely with our colleagues in the cyber division and in the “Data, IT and Governance” area
The program must ensure that the Defence receives a timely and secure IT support in accordance with the agreement and the corporate digitalization strategy for 2025-2033. In addition, the program shall implement conclusions and recommendations from IT analyses, including the Defence’s IT foundation and the need for technological updates. IT support should thus contribute to a digital transformation of the group and to strengthening the Defence’s combat power. Increased digitization is essential for the group to be a timely workplace and to meet NATO strength goals.
The building of a solid IT organization is currently ongoing, and you will become part of FMI and Program Digital and Operational Transformation (DOT), where your colleagues will be both military and civilian.
We emphasize a good working environment in modern settings with a average 37-hour work week, flexible working hours and a paid lunch break. In our unique workplace you have time for a life outside work, without you having to give up skill development and relevant challenges.
