Inspection Consultant for Socialtilsyn Midt

Socialtilsyn Midt is seeking a supervisory consultant for the Foster Care area with start date 1 December 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Socialtilsyn Midt approves and conducts operation-oriented supervision of both private and public services and foster families within the specialized social field – we supervise about 1100 foster families and 500 service offerings.

The basis for the work of social supervision is the Social Supervisory Act. The Foster Care area covers the geographical Region of Central Jutland and Faaborg-Myborg Municipality.

About the position

Your tasks include supervision of and re-approval of foster families. The tasks are primarily located in the southeastern municipalities in Region of Central Jutland as well as in Faaborg-Midtfyn Municipality. Therefore, a fair amount of driving should be expected. In return, you will gain great flexibility in organizing your work and the opportunity to build a good knowledge of the foster families in the area

As a supervisory consultant you will meet about one day per week in Silkeborg. The other four days you perform supervision tasks or do administrative work related to the supervision. The administrative work can be done either at your own home or in Silkeborg.

We are looking for a colleague who at minimum has a medium-length higher education, for example social worker, social educator, pedagogue or another relevant social professional qualification.

Professionally relevant competencies

Primary experience within the foster care area, as well as possibly authority/agency work, supervision tasks or other relevant experience.

There will also be emphasis on relevant further education at diploma, master or candidate level.

• As a supervisory consultant you will be part of a multidisciplinary collaboration with skilled colleagues
• You must be able to focus on analyzing, assessing and describing the professional quality in foster families, which requires good communication skills – both oral and written
• Since you also have an authority function, you as a professional must be able to navigate in a field where control, quality and quality development go hand in hand
• The job as supervisory consultant also presupposes that you have knowledge of and experience with social-science theories and methods
• You must have the desire and ability to work with IT as your primary working tool

Your tasks

• Carry out operation-oriented supervision and re-approve foster families in accordance with the Social Supervisory Act.
• Engage in dialogue and sparring with foster families about quality and development
• Collect information, prepare supervision reports and update the service portal, etc.
• Collaborate with colleagues

You should have an acknowledging, investigative and curious approach to your surroundings and act credibly and reliably, both internally in the organization and in contact with Socialtilsyn Midt’s many partners. You can and will take responsibility for a positive dialogue during the supervision and have clear and explicit communication. You must have the desire and ability to operate in a field that is sometimes unpredictable and busy, where an overview and systematic approach are important and necessary competencies.

Finally, you should work according to our supervision tools and you should be able to work in a structured and flexible manner.

Socialtilsyn Midt is responsible for approving and supervising the foster families, social 24-hour services and outpatient alcohol and drug treatment services located in Region Central Jutland and Faaborg-Midtfyn. Socialtilsyn Midt is located at Papirfabrikken 38, 8600 Silkeborg.

Salary and terms of employment according to the applicable collective agreement and local pay setting.
