About the job
Would you like to help ensure high quality in the education of professional drivers?
Do you have an eye for both rules, professionalism and the reality that educational institutions operate in? And do you thrive in a workday that alternates between case processing, development, dialogue and supervision out in the country?
Then you might be our new inspector in Team Taxi and Transport Education.
About the job
As an inspector you will have a central role in the Danish Road Directorate's work with approving and supervising the educational institutions that offer qualification training for drivers in the road transport sector. Your work helps ensure that drivers receive the training they should have, and that the trainings meet the applicable requirements.
You will follow cases from the initial assessment to the final decision. Part of the work takes place at the desk in Ribe, while another part takes place out at the training institutions. You will therefore have a varied workday with both independent responsibility and close collaboration with colleagues and external parties.
Your tasks will include, among others
- process applications for approval of training institutions and trainings
- plan, conduct and follow up on supervision of training institutions across Denmark
- assess teaching, tests and documentation as well as the training institutions' compliance with applicable rules
- prepare decisions and supervision reports
- handle cases and advise the industry, training institutions, citizens and other relevant actors
- conduct a professional dialogue with the industry and represent the Danish Road Directorate at seminars, dialogue meetings and other professional events
- contribute to the development of new trainings and revision of existing training programs
- prepare and quality assure exam questions for Multitest
- contribute to developing rules, guidelines, workflows and digital solutions in the area
- contribute to ministerial and department service as well as relevant international work.
You will have the opportunity to develop the area
We continuously work to make our supervision more risk-based and our case processing simpler and more uniform. We will use our resources where they create the greatest value for road safety and the quality of the trainings. At the same time, training institutions should experience a professional authority with clear requirements, understandable communication and efficient processes.
You will have the opportunity to bring your knowledge and experience into play and help develop both supervision methods, workflows and the collaboration with training institutions. We expect you to be curious about the task, see improvement opportunities and actively contribute to turning ideas into solutions that work in practice.
About the team
You will be part of Team Taxi and Transport Education. The team works, among other things, with driver cards, the taxi sector, qualification trainings, tests and supervision of training institutions.
The team currently consists of 17 employees and a team leader. You will join the professional group that works with transport education.
We place emphasis on high professionalism, collegial sparring and a good sense of community. You will also have close cooperation with lawyers and other professional areas in the Danish Road Directorate.
Who are you
Your educational background may vary. The most important thing is that you have relevant experience and can translate rules and professional knowledge into a safe and usable authority practice. It would be advantageous if you have knowledge of transport trainings, driving trainings, vocational education or the AMU area. You could, for example, have experience from an educational institution, the transport industry or a public authority.
We also attach importance to that you
- work in a structured way and can drive your cases safely from start to finish
- can make professional assessments and make decisions on well-documented grounds
- communicate clearly and respectfully, both orally and in writing
- can stand firm on the authority's requirements while maintaining constructive dialogue
- are curious, take initiative and see opportunities to improve tasks and workflows
- thrive in cross-disciplinary collaboration, but can also work independently
- understand the work in a politically led organization
- have a driver's license for passenger cars and the ability to travel in connection with supervision.
The first period
You will receive a thorough introduction to the tasks, the rules and our workflows. You will be closely connected with experienced colleagues and gradually join on-site supervision, so you gain a solid professional foundation and get to know both the area and the collaboration interfaces well.
