About the job

Do you want to work with stable, secure and future-proof operation of research and data platforms? Do you have experience with Linux, container technology, monitoring or backup and a desire to shape a new section?

A organization on the way to something new

The Health Data Agency will from 2027 become part of Digital Health Denmark together with sundhed.dk, MedCom and a range of common national IT tasks from the regions. Digital Health Denmark will be a nationwide organization that aims to strengthen digital development and ensure better coherence in the health service.

The organization must ensure common direction, better use of health data and development of digital solutions that support citizens and health professionals across the country. The establishment means new colleagues, collaborations and opportunities in a strong professional community.

About Application Development and Operations

Application Development and Operations (AUD) is a new section responsible for creating coherence between development, transition to operations, stable operation and further development of central technical services. We work, among other things, with secure data processing environments that support researchers’ access to and use of health data. You will be part of a section under construction and will have the opportunity to influence our technical solutions and ways of working.

Your daily life with us

You will play a central role in the operation, maintenance and further development of the technical platforms that support our research and data solutions. The environments include Linux- and Microsoft-based systems, virtual infrastructures and container-based application execution. You will work closely with application owners, developers, architects and other technical specialists to ensure stable and secure operating environments.

Your main tasks

You will help ensure high availability, stable performance and secure daily platform operation through monitoring, troubleshooting, capacity tracking and continuous improvements. You will establish and maintain monitoring, logging and alerting so that operational problems are detected and handled early. You will work with container-based environments, automation, patching and lifecycle management and contribute to standardization of platforms and operating procedures.

You will contribute to designing, documenting and testing backup and recovery procedures as well as clarifying requirements for recovery and contingency. At the same time you will participate in technical commissioning and handover of new solutions to stable operation.

Your education, experience and personal qualifications

We imagine that you have a relevant technical background and practical experience with operating servers, platforms or complex IT environments. You have preferably worked with Linux, virtualization and container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes and have an understanding of operational stability, capacity and fault handling.

It is an advantage if you have experience with monitoring, logging, scripting and automation as well as backup, restore and recovery testing. Knowledge of networks, secure configuration, patching, CI/CD and DevOps is also relevant. You do not need to know everything from the start. We value technical thoroughness, responsibility, systematic troubleshooting and the ability to collaborate on solutions across platform, application and operations.

We offer

AUD is a new section where you will have the opportunity to influence both technical solutions, processes and the way we organize operations and development. You will become part of a professional environment with close collaboration across specialties.

We are located in historic surroundings together with Statens Serum Institut, 10 minutes by bike from City Hall Square. We have plenty of free parking spaces.

The social life is highly valued in the agency, and we have an active staff association with a number of clubs such as running club and wine club. There is also a fitness center, gym and tennis court available to the agency's employees.

We are not top earners, but we protect our working hours and generally do not expect you to work more than what is agreed in your contract. There is an option to arrange remote work, but we also value presence with colleagues highly, because it provides better conditions for professional sparring, knowledge sharing and collaboration.

Competence development is a focus area, and you will have the opportunity to strengthen and develop your competences through internal and external courses.

About the appointment

Appointment and compensation are in accordance with the prevailing agreement for the education you possess.

As an academic, you are covered by the Akademikeroverenskomsten (Academic Agreement) between the Ministry of Finance and academics in the State.

As an HK employee you are covered by the organizational agreement for Office Clerks, Laboratory Technicians and IT Staff (HK) and the prevailing joint agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees’ Organizations – The State Area (OAO-S Joint Agreement).
