JD Byg Entreprise A/S is seeking an experienced designing structural engineer

Are you an experienced designing structural engineer, and would you like to be involved from the initial idea to the completed building? Then you might be our new colleague in the design studio.

The company

At JD Byg we carry out main and total contracts nationwide and we are experts in industrial and commercial construction. We have our own design studio and perform a large part of the processes required to complete a construction project. We therefore handle fire protection consulting, LCA, energy calculations, authorities and execution design internally.

We are involved from when the client gets the first idea until the building is ready for use. Often we act as a sparring partner for the upcoming client regarding optimizing the building project. And we take pride in meeting our clients' wishes, where all projects are tailored to the client's individual needs.

The position

You will as a designing structural engineer work independently with design across the different project phases – from sketch to tender and execution.

Your tasks

• Design, detailed design and quality assurance
• Registration and surveying on tender cases
• Preparation of drawings and models in Revit
• Coordination with consultants, contractors and authorities
• Fire protection design and preparation of start and end statements (as the executing contractor not necessarily BK2 certified)
• LCA and energy calculations (we are prepared to provide the necessary training if required)

Your profile

• You are a trained building designer and preferably with a craft background
• You have a minimum of 5 years' experience in the above tasks and responsibilities
• You are a power user of Revit
• You have in-depth knowledge of Danish construction legislation, the Building Regulations, standards and tender practices
• You work in a structured and solution-oriented manner
• You have good collaboration skills and a high work ethic
• You are used to working independently
• You are good at communicating and fluent in Danish written and spoken
• You have a good technical understanding of construction and possess a good overview that enables you to handle multiple projects and tasks at the same time
