About the job

One of our evening nurses has sought new challenges, therefore we are looking for a professionally well-founded evening nurse for our team in the Evening Nursing South.

For us you get evenings where no two shifts are the same. You make independent professional decisions and meet citizens with many different needs. At the same time you are never alone. We talk a lot together, spar with each other and help out when something unexpected arises. In collaboration with a coordinator we have always planned the evening's tasks, but often we see that the plan can change because we must handle complex and acute nursing tasks.

A working life with room for life besides

Evening work fits well with many different life situations. Perhaps you value calm mornings, freedom in daytime hours or the possibility of more consecutive days off. Whatever, you get the opportunity to create a daily life with great flexibility, while you become part of a professionally strong nursing community.

”I work 5:2, and it feels like I have a mini vacation all the time. I have time to enjoy my coffee in the morning, and I can sleep late every day” – Susanne, nurse in the Evening Group South West

A creative problem-solver

The Evening Nursing South is a mobile team in Odense Municipality, where we work with citizens across all pathways. This means we meet many different challenges and take care of a wide range of nursing tasks such as HPN, tube feeding and injections.

We are a multidisciplinary workplace with social and health care assistants, social and health aides, nurses and coordinators, who collaborate to create good citizen pathways. Decency, professionalism and trust are central values for us, and we have a strong focus on the development of the nursing of the future.

Being an evening nurse is a different job. It requires a desire to work a lot on your own and to drive around to unpredictable visits as well as courage to be creative when the nursing depot is far away and you lack a plaster. In return you become razor-sharp in your professionalism and a professional problem-solver.

Freedom with a strong sense of community behind you

Of course we have some wishes for our upcoming colleague, but most importantly we are looking for a nurse who wants to become part of the community in the Evening Nursing South. It is precisely the community that is central with us, and the nurses in the group say: "You are involved in a lot, but there is always someone to contact, and that is what makes you stay."

We do not expect you to know everything from day one. But if you can relate to several of these points, you will fit in well with us:

  • You are a trained nurse and want to make a difference close to the citizen's everyday life
  • You thrive with freedom under responsibility and can keep an overview when the day takes an unexpected turn
  • You see opportunities rather than limitations and enjoy variation in your workdays
  • You are good at building relationships with citizens, relatives and colleagues
  • You want to contribute to a strong professional and social community

An workplace buzzing with life

In the Evening Nursing South it is important that new colleagues get off to a good start. Therefore we offer a thorough introduction program, where you learn both colleagues, citizens and work processes well. We also think it's important to improve our colleagues, so we are happy to support sending you on courses and continuing education.

You become part of a workplace where there is much life, and where good communication, professional sparring and the social community fill a lot. We work in teams and have a culture characterized by trust, integrity and helpfulness.
