About us

The Job and Integration House embraces both integration citizens and residents who receive cash benefits. The citizens are either close to entering work or education, or more is needed to help them on the way there. This means that we work with several target groups. What is common to these citizens is that they have daily contact with the house, and that all of them are covered by the obligation to work.

Based on the latest research and evidence, the administration focuses on employment initiatives that must be employer-oriented to be effective for both citizens and companies, with strengthened focus on education and knowledge about Danish society.

The goal for everyone is self-sufficiency, but in addition to that, to give our citizens a solid foundation to become and be active fellow citizens in the Odense community, and here you as a job advisor will have a crucial role.

The job

As a job advisor with us you will have a crucial role in the citizens' path out of unemployment.

Your daily work will be focused on job-oriented conversations. You must therefore be able to create dynamics in the process for the individual citizen so they experience continuity, movement and clearly defined agreements and goals based on applicable law. You must thus be both engaging and goal-oriented and at the same time be able to perform the authority role. Your work must, therefore, take its starting point in strong professional assessments, which, in addition to being engaging and goal-oriented, are also law-abiding.

You will work within the framework of the Danish Act on the Integration of Foreigners and the Act on an Active Employment Effort, so a good knowledge of both will be an advantage. You will also participate in cross-organizational collaborations where the goal is effective pathways with one plan for the citizen.

  • We hold multi-party meetings with relevant partners, where we follow up on initiated efforts
  • Through high writing quality, systematics, good administrative abilities and high professionalism, we ensure that the law is complied with and that young people are supported on the quickest path to retention in employment

About you

You should be able to recognize yourself in the following

  • Have relevant education/background with experience in conducting job-oriented conversations and the good meeting with citizens
  • That you can navigate and understand legislation
  • Meet all citizens with respect and be able to inspire, motivate, assess competencies and clarify competencies, and thus clearly see the opportunities and openings ahead for the unemployed
  • That you manage to maintain a clear and respectful set of requirements, even when citizens use different defense mechanisms that can challenge the dialogue and the common direction of the effort.
  • You are a team player and contribute to good well-being
  • Focus on quality and structure in task solving
  • Possess good IT skills and can navigate several systems at the same time
  • Thrives in a close and binding collaboration with your colleagues
  • Thrives with many and diverse tasks at the same time without losing systematicity and thoroughness
  • Has great respect for working in a politically steered organization, where the administrative work must also be performed legally and correctly
  • Can balance the field between the motivating and developing collaboration with the citizen and the authority role when necessary.
  • Is independent and not afraid to take action if new questions/issues arise in the work, but at the same time knows exactly when collaboration, sparring and help are necessary to solve the task.

We offer the right candidate

  • A professionally strong collegial environment, with an engaged and multidisciplinary staff, where sparring and feedback are an important part of everyday life.
  • A workplace where we focus on the activities and methods that deliver results for the citizens
