About the job

Kindergarten class teacher at the School by the Lakes

Do you want to help create secure communities and great learning experiences for our youngest pupils?

At the School by the Lakes we are looking for an engaged and relationship-driven kindergarten class teacher to join our kindergarten class team as of 1 November 2026.

You will be part of a fantastic team of kindergarten class teachers and school pedagogues, who together create a safe, inspiring and developmental everyday life for the children in our three kindergarten classes.

A strong community around the children

In the kindergarten class, planning and teaching are done closely together. Shared annual plans are developed and we work from common class leadership strategies, which create a uniform and safe teaching culture.

The teaching is organised so that through courses and activities, kindergarten class teachers/pedagogues continuously meet all children from the three classes. This creates a strong sense of community in the year group and ensures that all adults know all the children.

Experience from the kindergarten class is an advantage, and competencies in movement/physical education will be a plus. However, the most important is that you are passionate about creating meaningful learning communities for the children through teaching, activities and play.

With us, collaboration between kindergarten class teachers, teachers and pedagogues is a cornerstone. You will become part of a well-functioning team where everyone helps each other, shares knowledge and lifts the task together – always with the children at the centre.

We value a positive approach to collaboration, where good humour, engagement and helpfulness make a difference in daily life.

We hope you

  • Are strong in relationships with children and can create safe learning environments.
  • Are passionate about child communities, learning and play.
  • Have an eye for the children’s perspectives and participation.
  • Thrive in close cooperation with colleagues and parents.
  • Are initiative-taking, positive and actively contribute to the community and the school’s development.
  • Work in a structured way and reflect on your own practice.

We offer

  • A workplace where the children’s well-being, learning and development are at the center.
  • A strong community with engaged colleagues across the school and the after-school care (SFO).
  • A work environment characterised by trust, humour and high professional standards.
  • An development-oriented culture with room for ideas and professional sparring.
  • Joint preparation and fixed year-group team meetings with teachers and pedagogues.
