We are seeking a KKFO leader who is passionate about creating a strong leisure-time environment together with engaged children and staff. About us

Amager Fælled Skole is a public school with about 640 pupils and 112 dedicated staff. In the KKFO we have 240 children and 27 employees. From the outside, our buildings reflect a long school history. Inside, they are full of staff who want to develop the KKFO and the collaboration with the school. We work to combine the strength of traditions with the possibilities of the future, and we will develop a way of working where structure and development go hand in hand.

One KKFO – three units

Our KKFO consists of three units, each with its own daily life, group of employees, and group of children. Here we would like to work towards becoming a more cohesive group.

The staff should experience a clear sense of belonging and a shared responsibility for the children, daily life, and the pedagogical development across the entire KKFO.

The staff

The staff in the KKFO are first and foremost leisure-time pedagogues with strong professional knowledge and a high level of commitment to the children’s daily lives. They are focused on relationships, child communities, play and activities, and on creating a leisure life where children belong, have influence, and try new things. They know the children in ways other than the school does, and this knowledge is an important part of the overall view of the child.

The task

As KKFO leader you will be at the forefront of the pedagogical development and of a clear and well-functioning organization around it. You set direction, create structure and follow up, and you are simultaneously close enough to daily life to know the children, the staff, and the practice.

We want a KKFO where staff's professionalism and responsibility have room, where roles and decision pathways are clear, and where agreements are followed through. You lead by guiding others and create frameworks in which staff both have influence and know who is responsible for what.

The KKFO is part of Amager Fælled Skole, and an important part of the task is to develop the coherence between school and leisure time, while the KKFO maintains a clear leisure-pedagogical identity and value in itself.

Part of the school leadership

As KKFO leader you join the school’s leadership team and help set the direction for the entire Amager Fælled Skole. You contribute the leisure-pedagogical perspective to the school’s overall leadership and help raise shared tasks across school and KKFO. The leadership team consists of the headteacher, deputy head, and two department heads, and you report to the headteacher but are expected to work closely with the primary-education lead.

• are educated as a pedagogue and have leadership experience
• have a strong leisure-pedagogical professionalism and can articulate its value
• are good at creating structure, clear roles and decision pathways, and following up
• can lead through others, delegate responsibility and make room for local professionalism
• are visible and approachable
• can collaborate with the school and the parents and create coherence between school and leisure time
• are keen to contribute to the school’s overall leadership
• maintain calm and an overview when daily life brings the unexpected.

Salary and employment conditions

The position is 37 hours per week with start on 1 December 2026. Salary and terms of employment according to the applicable collective agreement and within the framework of local wage formation. In connection with the hire we will obtain child and criminal record certificates and take references.
