Klatretræet is seeking an educator for the nursery

Our good colleague will not be returning after maternity leave, so we are looking for a new colleague who would like to become part of a professionally strong and engaged community.

With us, play is the starting point for children's learning and development. We are looking for an early childhood educator who actively participates in play, is curious about the children, and meets them with positive expectations, presence and enthusiasm.

Our pedagogical approach

We start from children’s strengths, resources and communities. Together with children, parents and cross-disciplinary collaborators we create solutions that support children’s well-being, learning, formation and development.

For us, it is a shared responsibility to create good development opportunities for all children. We emphasize involving the children’s perspectives when we create the framework for a safe, inspiring and developing play and learning environment. Close, trustful and equal collaboration with parents is an important part of our daily life.

We have a high proportion of educated pedagogical staff and we prioritize professional development highly. Through

targeted work and action learning – including the use of video – we continuously develop our practice in professional learning communities.

Our everyday life with us

In daily life we work with team division. At times children and adults are together on their fixed teams, while at other times we gather across teams to create communities across teams.

Our daily routine is a combination of fixed routines, child-initiated play and adult-led activities. This structure creates calm, recognizability and good framework for the children’s well-being, learning and development.

Meetings are primarily held during daytime hours, and we have only a few evening meetings.

When you start with us

As a new employee you will receive a structured introduction program and be assigned a mentor. You will receive ongoing sparring from both colleagues and management, so you quickly feel secure and well prepared for the task.

• have a pedagogical basic education
• are strong in relationship work – in contact with children, parents, colleagues and management
• want to reflect on and contribute to the development of the pedagogical practice
• actively contribute to our pedagogical direction and community
• are flexible and reliable within the institution’s opening hours

Employment level: 37 hours/week with the possibility of fewer hours.
