Kitchen helper sought for Aale Hjortsvang Frail-Care Home

Are you passionate about food, people and the good everyday life? Then perhaps you are the one we are looking for.

At Aale Hjortsvang Friplejehjem we are looking for a kitchen assistant for 30 hours per week , who wants to be an important part of our everyday life and our home.

For us the kitchen is much more than a place where food is made. The kitchen is part of the home. Here there should be the aroma of todays dinner, there should be life and activity, and there should be room for our residents to drop by for a chat, follow along with the cooking or perhaps lend a hand. We also have volunteers who occasionally help with various kitchen tasks.

We are looking for you who

• are passionate about making good and tasty food for the elderly
• thrive with the practical tasks in a kitchen
• have an eye for hygiene and cleaning and take responsibility for keeping the kitchen clean and inviting
• are happy to bake – and preferably together with some of our residents
• enjoy being with people and see the value in the small everyday meetings
• are flexible, positive and eager to contribute to a good working environment
• can see the kitchen as an important part of the good life at a care home.

We imagine that you have experience from a kitchen, but the most important for us is that you bring the desire, engagement and heart with you . You don necessary to be able to do everything from day one – we help each other.

With us you get

A workplace where food and meals matter a lot. We believe that the aroma of freshly baked cake, a pot simmering on the stove and a meal prepared with care help create homeliness and liveliness.

You will become part of a daily life where the residents are a natural part of the life around the kitchen , and where there is room for both professionalism, laughter, presence and spontaneous conversations.

The position is 30 hours per week , mainly daytime hours Monday to Friday, but with the possibility of a bit of weekend work.

Start date: As soon as possible.

We conduct interviews on an ongoing basis, so please feel free to send your application today.
