About the job

Instructor for the Dairy Technician Education

There is rapid development in the dairy department at Kold College, both internally and externally. We therefore offer a permanent full-time position as an instructor in the dairy department.

You will teach at both the basic course, the main course, and in the continuing education subjects in the dairy technician education. Additionally, there will be teaching on some of the dairy department's courses. The teaching is a mix of classroom instruction and practical teaching in our training dairy, in our workshops and laboratories.

You will become part of a strong team of other teachers and leaders who are passionate about helping shape the development of teaching in the school's dairy department and who are eager to contribute to training professionals for the dairy industry.

The workplace is Kold College, Dairy, Landbrugsvej 55 in Odense.

Job facts

You will teach dairy students and other trainees in areas such as product quality and quality assurance, microbiology, food chemistry, food safety and hygiene by arrangement.

You plan your teaching courses based on clear learning objectives. Part of the planning will take place in subject teams and part will be done independently.

Pedagogically, the teaching draws on Kold College's pedagogical-didactic framework, characterized by engaging teaching, clear learning objectives and an approach to teaching that reflects that “we want and can do more.”

Your background could be dairy technologist, dairy engineer, dairy engineer, food technologist or similar from the dairy industry, another food industry, or suppliers to the sector. Instructors at an vocational education must supplement their professional background with a vocational-pedagogical diploma; the school ensures that the staff participate in training to achieve these competencies.

Is the job for you?

Whether you are a recent graduate or have many years of professional experience is not decisive. If you want to convey the latest knowledge in food quality and safety and are passionate about sharing your knowledge with students and trainees – both Danish and international – then it is you we are looking for. Perhaps you also have teaching experience from previous roles.

You view classroom management as an exciting challenge and understand how to start from each student's academic, social and personal prerequisites, whether they are young or adult students or trainees. You have a positive approach to academic and pedagogical challenges and thrive in a varied daily life with lots of activity.

If you can nod to the above and would like to become part of a strong community where everyone contributes to achieving the department's overall goals? Do you want to help develop the school's teaching materials so that Kold College at all times meets the industry's needs and expectations? Then we would love to hear from you.
