About the job

Would you like to help support portfolio management in one of Denmark's largest IT organizations? Do you have an eye for both detail and the bigger picture, and are you strong in communication? Then it’s you we are looking for!

A meaningful workplace

In the Development and Simplification Agency (UFST) we support and drive the digitization of the Danish Tax Administration. Our work receives a great deal of attention – politically and in the public eye.

We collaborate with the other agencies in the Tax Administration in a partnership on the operation and further development of a large IT system portfolio and the development of new IT solutions, ranging from smaller projects to a number of large programs in the billions.

UFST solves large and complex tasks, and it is therefore crucial to set the direction for the organization and ensure prioritization and overview of the IT portfolio. This is one of our core tasks in the Portfolio Management office. We are ambitious in our task execution and have a target of becoming the best at portfolio management of IT projects.

We look forward to welcoming you to Portfolio Management

Your upcoming department, Portfolio Management, is responsible for the overall portfolio management across all agencies in the Tax Administration. We are looking for a colleague who will work with the strategic approach to the portfolio to ensure the best possible basis for prioritization and balancing of projects. We hope to welcome a colleague who is interested in understanding portfolio governance, thinking across the current guidelines and workflows, and shaping the strategic considerations around the composition of the portfolio.

You can look forward to

  • An interesting and varied job.
  • A job with focus on development and responsibility according to skill level.
  • Great influence on your own tasks and room to be able to influence the direction.
  • Skilled and ambitious colleagues with a can-do attitude who spar with and help each other.
  • Becoming part of a department where we pull together, have an informal tone, and take pride in making it exciting and inspiring to come to work.

You will encounter many exciting tasks from the start, with close contact with colleagues across the entire ministry. You will experience producing materials used by both colleagues and management, as well as a strong focus on ensuring good processes.

We provide a thorough introduction and training program so you can quickly work independently. You will receive varied and challenging tasks while there are good opportunities for skill development within the agency and the Ministry of Taxation and Growth.

You are skilled in stakeholder management and think strategically

We emphasize that you have a high professional level and the ability to achieve good results, demonstrated through previous employment and relevant education.

You have experience with portfolio management, strategic analyses and risk management across IT projects. You are communicatively strong and able to produce material for both management and colleagues that translates strategy into action. You have previously worked with tasks that require both deep professional understanding and a broad interest in the connections between tasks. You pay attention to details, but also think about how the big picture should be understood. It is an advantage if you have experience from relevant work in the public sector or in a larger company.

More concretely, you should recognize yourself in the following

  • have experience with governance, management and strategic analyses.
  • have abilities in portfolio management and an interest in learning more about it.
  • be well-founded in communication and able to translate your knowledge into clear language.
  • be outgoing and able to work with colleagues with different professional backgrounds.
  • be able to drive a process and think several steps ahead.

It is essential that you are curious and motivated by finding the good solution. As a person, you take responsibility for task execution, ask questions along the way, and you enjoy delivering results and succeeding in collaboration with others.

If the above description sounds like something for you, we look forward to receiving your application!
