Commercial lawyer with project management experience for the development of Vinge City in Frederikssund

The development of Denmark's new city, Vinge in Frederikssund, is in full swing. We are working purposefully to create an attractive and sustainable city with room for 17,000 inhabitants and 2,000 workplaces as well as a school, institutions, commerce and lively public spaces.

The development of a completely new city places great demands on collaboration, planning and execution. It requires both legal insight, commercial understanding and the ability to drive projects forward across disciplines and organizational boundaries.

The job

We are seeking a commercial lawyer with experience in real estate and procurement law, who can contribute to ensuring a solid legal and commercial basis for the development of Vinge.

You will become part of the team working on the city's development, and you will take a central role in supporting and driving the processes, agreements and projects that are essential for turning the visions for Vinge into reality.

You will work closely with the project manager and colleagues across the organization. You must be able to navigate complex issues, create an overview of dependencies and risks, and ensure that legal, financial and commercial considerations are thought through from the early stages of the project to implementation.

We are looking for a colleague who can both advise, coordinate and take responsibility for progress. You must thrive in a day-to-day with many stakeholders, parallel processes and a need to find pragmatic solutions that support both the municipality's interests and the project's overall goals.

It is expected that you will also assist with sparring and knowledge about the sale of the municipality's other properties outside Vinge.

Your primary tasks

You will, among other things, be

• Provide legal and commercial advice in connection with urban development, project execution and collaborations with external parties.
• Prepare a tender for real estate in connection with the sale of municipal areas for urban development.
• Prepare, review and negotiate agreements and contracts , including contributing to ensuring clear terms, appropriate risk distribution and a solid contract basis.
• Drive and coordinate projects and sub-projects in close collaboration with the project manager and relevant areas, including following up on deliveries, timelines, finances and progress.
• Identify and manage legal and commercial risks and translate complex issues into concrete recommendations and possible actions.
• Prepare decision bases for management and political committees, so that legal, financial and strategic perspectives are included in the decisions.
• Support collaboration with investors, landowners, advisers and other partners , where relevant for the concrete projects.

About you

You have a legal education, for example cand.jur. or cand.merc.jur., and experience with project management or coordinating complex projects. You have preferably worked with commercial agreements, contracts, negotiations or legal advice in an organization where law and business go hand in hand.

It is an advantage if you have experience with property development, construction projects, real estate, public-private partnerships or a politically governed organization. The most important thing, however, is that you can combine your legal expertise with a practical and commercial approach to the tasks.

You understand that good legal advice is not only about identifying risks, but also about finding solutions that enable the projects to be realized on a sound and well-informed basis.
