About the job

Do you have strong expertise in raw material quality and crops for plant-based foods, and are you passionate about translating professional knowledge into solutions that can bring new opportunities into play in the green transition? Then you are the one we are looking for to develop and contribute to our business area within raw material quality of food crops.

Plant production and the raw materials of the future

As our society moves toward more plant-based eating, there is a need to investigate and document raw material quality in new ways. It is central to development that the focus is on the quality of the raw material in the field, on processes after harvest, and on the final raw material quality that food companies will work with going forward.

We work at the intersection of agronomy, biology, food science and data, with a focus on biodiversity, healthy soil, microbial solutions and raw material quality.

We are busy, and the agenda is important. Therefore, we are seeking a new colleague to our team who can help lift the area and drive it forward, so we can start even more exciting projects in the coming years.

Your areas of responsibility will include

  • Develop a business area with diverse services within raw material quality of food crops.
  • Contribute to the development, adaptation and application of methods for raw material quality analyses – in the laboratory, in test facilities and/or in collaboration with external partners.
  • Develop and participate in research and development projects , where, among other things, the quality of oats and pulses from field to finished raw material is addressed.
  • Collaboration closely with companies, other centres at the Technological Institute, universities and advisors on concrete development processes and projects within plant-based foods.
  • Translate companies' needs into concrete problem statements and project ideas and help develop new concepts and services that create value in practice.

Project-oriented consultant with professional depth

You have a relevant master's or PhD degree in, for example, agronomy, engineering, food science or related areas, and you have a genuine interest in raw material quality and crops for food purposes.

You may come with many different experiences, but we particularly emphasise that you

  • are independent, driven and proactive
  • are good at listening and translating others' needs into concrete problem formulations and solutions
  • are motivated by working cross-disciplinary and thrive in collaboration with colleagues and partners with a different scientific background than your own
  • can apply your own professional competencies to benefit partners and projects
  • possess a desire to make a difference for Danish companies in the green transition.

You will become part of the Technological Institute

You will work daily in the Center for Agriculture and Digitalisation in Skejby near Aarhus. Here, 67 development-oriented colleagues work together in a strong professional competence center with specialisations in agronomy, field technology, statistics, AI and biotechnology. We apply and develop these competencies primarily in connection with the agricultural sector's green transition. The center is part of the Division Production and Food, which comprises about 350 employees.

We offer a dynamic and inclusive workplace with a high degree of freedom under responsibility, where you get the opportunity to develop and achieve results. You become part of a growing team of dedicated colleagues, where we support each other and recognise the value of drawing on each other's competencies to create the best results.

At the Technological Institute we believe that technology improves business, society and people's lives - technology for a better future. Our work is based on solid expertise, independence and innovation. As an employee with us you will have a place in an independent knowledge centre with broad interdisciplinary breadth, where we translate the latest knowledge into practical and holistic solutions.
