Creative and active afternoons with a 7-year-old girl

Do you have experience with children with autism, and do you thrive in a role with both structure, play and presence? Then you could become an important part of the daily life for a happy and energetic girl.

About the assignment

You will be a support for a 7-year-old girl who has been diagnosed with Asperger's. She is creative, outgoing and full of energy. She loves, among other things, drawing, cutting and pasting, reading books, listening to audiobooks, baking and taking small trips to, for example, the playground, library, or bakery.

Your task is to pick her up from school on Tuesdays and Thursdays and create some calm and cozy hours together with her. You should preferably have a bicycle so you and the girl can cycle together. You will often go on to a playground or other activities outside the home, so there can be quiet in the family. On days when it makes most sense to stay at home, you do calm activities such as creative projects or reading aloud.

The girl needs clear structure and preparation in daily life. She can have difficulty switching between activities and needs breaks so the pace does not get too high. Therefore it is important that you can create predictable frames and help with calm transitions between activities.

About you

You have experience with children with autism and thrive in a 1:1 relationship, where you can be an active participant and create calm around the child.

You may be creative and want to participate in play and activities. At the same time you are patient and good at adjusting pace and structure to the child's needs.

You can be a trained pedagogue or unskilled with relevant experience. If you are professionally trained, you are paid according to your education.

It is important that you do not have pets, as the citizen is very allergic.

Working hours

The position is 8 hours per week.

• Tuesday 13.00–17.00
• Thursday 13.00–17.00
